My buddy got his F250 done, the whole rear, all four doors, and 6" strip on the front, for $300. This was for the top of the line Flexfilm ceramic tint. I think it's like gasoline, cost may vary from place to place.

    That's my point.....WHERE is important.
Shit brand regular gas in my town is $3.40 now, in some shitty parts of LA I've got it for $2.99.

Alabama is a little far of a drive to save $200 on a tint job.

Gas is $1.99/gal here right now. So yeah, $500 tint jobs here would put tint shops out of business! lol

My condolences for not understanding economics. Things in Alabama don’t cost the same as California.

Houses in Hawaii START at 700,000 for a 3bdrm 2 bth.....reg. gas is 3.12 p/gal....tint shops charge minimum 450. for ceramic ( there's a LOT of them and at least 1 week wait).... Tacoma are sold WITHOUT any discount ( my 2018 TRD SPORT $42k)....
It's all about WHERE you live. Yea it's expensive to live here but there's no place like Hawaii.
Not all places have same prices for EVERYTHING.

For my 19 I drove to Prescott valley to get llumar formula one stratos. I think I paid 550 including 50% windshield. I forget the name of the shop, but I think they closed. There’s a shop in Mesa that carries that brand too.
For my 03 I paid 120 and did it here in Phoenix. Amazing tint is called I think.

Look at Vader Window Tinting, she does mobile tinting. Has done my Tacoma, 4Runner, and my 2 previous cars and has even done a window at my Dads house.

What percentage should I use to match the front two windows with the factory rear privacy glass? 20%?

Others can answer this better, but note that most states have a maximum tint percent. Also, tinted windows (unlike the smoked glass in the rear) will make it less visible at night. The darker the tint, the harder it will be to see out your windows.

I would go with 15% or 20% all around. The privacy glass is just that, no heat rejection there.

We have used a tint gauge on the Tacoma and many other Toyotas in general, the rear fluctuates around 23-25%. So we use 25% on the front doors to match. At least on the newer Toys that is. I don't know about the older models.

    Thanks. That's what I'm looking for! If 25% isn't available i'll use 20%
