Haha, true. Backcountry has it for $90 with coupon, guy is selling a GX nearby brand new. Might just jump on the local one so I can get it swapped.

my local mtb park just finished 2 new trails, and are working on 2 more that should hopefully be open for next summer. For being a world class ski resort....jhmr has a pretty sub par bike park. It was only accessed off the beginner lift, only had like 3 jump trails, and a dh run lasts about a song and a half.

NOW, these new trails are being built off the lower of the two gondolas, and will have gondi access, effectively tripling or quadrupling the trail length when you link it to the existing trails. They're starting to put in sweet big jumps too. 30+ foot step up, 30-50 ft tables...finally jhmr is getting serious. Ill probably buy a bike park pass next summer for the first time.

Its good to see more bike park development in the US. I think ski resorts are starting to see the light of off season revenues for a resort like Whistler and that they could have that going for them too.

Unless your resort name is Canyons...

True. I reached out to the guy, so hopefully I can pick it up today or tomorrow and install. Maybe sell mine for $20 or so - someone could probably spend time to get it tweaked a little more.

I think you mean, "unless you're owned by Vail and want to be even more uppity uppity and don't care what all the locals say." ;P That said, I heard somewhere in the pipeline that Vail is beginnign to rethink Canyons.

I really hope they do. When your own park staff says "Uhhh...are you retarded?" when they broke the news, that should have been a sign.

That's very true of all of Canyons and PCMR stuff. I mean, Vail got rid of their volunteer patrol force...and the entirety of the staff was like, "wait. what?! you're going to throw away YEARS of combined experience that was FREE for...what? potential liability? You can mitigate that and work around it...".

I should get a new one soon. Love the look of those tires. Debating on getting a set for mine or not.

I like them on some bikes. Guy with the same bike as me tossed a set on...I'm torn. Works fairly well for a lot of the darker bikes out there.

Green and tan is great. I went with Tan for my bike since the color name is "Ron Burgundy", reminded me of the 70s for sure.

The yellow might throw the look off too much. It's a close call though.

Yeah I’ve wondered that. The yellow already makes it feel retro to me with the contrast to the blue, just wonder what a tan wall would look like. Haven’t ridden with anyone that has a tanwall I could set beside it.

Anybody ever had an air can blow apart mid-ride? I can now say that has happened to me. "Rebuilt" mid-ride and limped it home

Mark, how did I not know you rode? And yeah, Jackson has come great riding, but not downhill at the resorts. I have no clue what jhmr is? Did the Village change its name? LOL awhile since I was in Jackson last. Cheers buddy! Oh and by the shape of me, you probably didn't know I ride either. I try to anyway. Like everything in life, buy the best stuff you can and hope you can do it. No excuses other than yourself being the weak link. I am the weak link, but I try still.
