Perhaps a better hiding place for the "mod container" is in order?

Answering an old post, I've been away for a few days. Trying to catch up.
Ask 100 car guys which oil is best and you will get 90 different answers. (There has to be a little overlap :)).
I'm not looking to start anything with anybody. This is my opinion, take it or leave it. I have no affiliation with Pennzoil, Amsoil, or any oil company. I'm an old retired Materials Engineer with a lifelong passion for cars and trucks.
I currently use Amsoil Signature Series in my wife's vehicle, but have been a loyal Mobil 1 user for about 20 years.
About three to four years ago, every time I checked the oil, I noticed moisture buildup (foamy white stuff) on the dip stick of my wife's `11 Equinox with the 4 cylinder 2.4 Ecotec engine while using the 5W30 Mobil 1. About a year and a half ago, I switched to the Amsoil Signature Signature Series 5W30 and the moisture foam went away, never to be seen again. The 4 cylinder Ecotec engine has a host of problems (don't get me started) and my wife only drives her car to work and back, about a mile and a half each way.
I would have tried the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum (UP) but couldn't find that available in the 5W30 at the time.
IMHO, the Pennzoil UP is better oil, for various reasons. The Pennzoil UP is an 100% synthetic oil made from natural gas with better additives. A vary comparable oil is the Amsoil Signature Series which is also a 100% synthetic (Group IV and V base stocks) oil and it's own blend of better additives.
Don't get me wrong. I still believe that the standard Mobil 1 oil is good motor oil. just not up to the standards of the newer synthetic oils. I believe that the Mobil 1 Annual Performance is a little better than the regular Mobil 1. Maybe it just has better or more additives, I don't know. Exxon/Mobil doesn't tell you much, they don't even list the standard Mobil 1 as a 100% synthetic on their bottle or their website, even though I have read that it is. (BITOG website)
Spend a few hundred hours researching this, (like I have over the years) and let me know what you find.

Try leaving the window down, remote start the truck, climb in the window and try to put in gear. Please video cause we ALL want to see this!

Good idea. Tested it. My daughter climbed in the open window. Door was locked. She pushed the break to shift and engine went off and the alarm started. Didn't make the video.

Nope. Subarus are the same - engine shuts off when the door is opened.

Any issues with the N2, I was planning on adding that to my new 20 Sport coming soon. Have to go aftermarket because its a MT. And I don't like scraping windshields during new england winters at 5am when I leave for work :)

285/70/17 spare tire. There’s a lot of “it will” and “it won’t.” Tried it myself and it seems to fit fine with zero mods of any kind

I guess I should chime in I did cut my exhaust but I’m pretty sure it would fit even if I didn’t cut it.

I got the exhaust re-route done today. Scottsdale Muffler is fast and efficient. $80 and 30 minutes was all it took.

I made it myself but I can sketch you a drawing and dimensions if you want. I think the only thing I’d change is move where I put the two grab handles on the top and make it just 1 in the center and the single ones on the side as it seems to be a better fit

That looks sweet, does is sound or feel like it’s made a difference? Just curious as that piece is flat from factory and kinda skinny tubing

My wife would love that, but no.
I was thinking of a tide pod, the millennial treat.

Edit: I’ll look into this, but I currently have an electric dryer and not sure I can get the temp high enough. The CC mod may have to wait for gas.

Doesn't sound or feel any different to me. I wanted the better clearance. I've already scraped it once or twice, ha.

No issue. Simple PnP install. Took longer to remove the panels than connecting everything. It is a simple 3x Lock clicks and the truck starts. Can't say for sure if they have a unit for an MT but if they do then go for it. Ontario winters suck too and this almost makes them bearable.
