From my understanding, the Mexico built Tacos have had the least amount of issues. But part of me wonders if they're not starting to retool the plant for a facelift Taco or completely change to a different vehicle.

Coming soon: Compact powered sub install Future mods planned: bigger tires (265/75/16) BILLSTIEN 5100 lift
So skip the dopey bed box's that come with the trail edition. Get an SR5 add your own tires. Get a yeti or Rtic cooler and still have a cool trail truck probably for less. Of course this would not work if you want army green. Then I'd say if you want that color so bad save some more coin get an off road..

Actually I can see Army green being the new most popular color on the off road displacing Cement some.

I have a 2016 4Runner and a 2015 Tacoma. One built in Japan and the other in Mexico.

    Both are rock solid.

I don’t get the permanent cooler with small bed capacity unless someone who has a very specific need for them on a daily basis.

Maybe if they are removable or somehow does not affect bed capacity.

I actually think they can be unbolted and removed but I don't see how at the end of the day a brought cooler and storage box to fit your needs that you pick out isn't better than being stuck with that or taking it out.

I been to several manufacturer plant in Ohio and Alabama, they employee the entire town to run 2 assembly lines in each plant. Elon Musk tried to automate his entire plant and failed, there are so many delicate process that simply can’t be done easily by robots. Robots exist to do the dangerous and heavy work loads.

Toyota manufacturing plants are not employed by as many humans as you domestic “bring the jobs home” people think they do.

    That is my point.

Anybody that thinks there’s a difference between MX Tacoma and US Tacoma is an ignorant simpleton.

Interesting. From what I know, toyota has never released a long bed limited. That limited has the trd sport wheels as well

However, toyota has released some weird 3rd gens over the past few years so idk.
1919 Waialua Edition was the only weird tacoma to come from toyota

Looks like it also swaps the grill for the Sport/OR style grill. I like that better than the Limited grill too.

Yep, I second that, especially if you’re a Canadian. The exporters can send it south and avoid a 25% duty under usmca.

And robots fix the robots, and move the trucks, and mop the floors, and work the assembly line, and move the parts, and file the paperwork, and handle HR, and work in accounting, and plan the infrastructure, and expand the building, and operate the paint booths, and fix any defects, and inspect the vehicles, et al.

    "But bring muh jobs home."

    I'm just an ignorant simpleton.
