'Cept mine was on a 30 year old pickup with about 200 miles of vacuum and coolant lines. They had a reason to f up haha.

 

@Blue92 Tyler said you used a special product to restore your center console.. do you remember what that was?

 

Tuff stuff. Like brake cleaner but for interior stuff. Get a plastic bristle brush and really scrub it down.

Just bought a used center console from another member on here and I'm not sure on it's condition lol I just sent him money cause it was a good price and matches my tan interior.


It's so hard to find good quality 'oak' stuff

 

Shit for the price u pay to get that work done id say no fk up is acceptable. First time ive had to get this repair done tho, so meh lol

Car-part.com. I had mine in a few hours after calling some of the salvage yards on there. They arent pick n pulls, rather places that pull stuff for you and you pay a bit more but not the asinine prices Ive seen some on here go for.

Usually its the stuff that you see thats screwed up, the easy stuff towards the end of the job and the tech wants it gone so he rushes it.

Ayup. Some go without, but if you put any weight on the console it can be very tippy without it.
