Mark, how did I not know you rode? And yeah, Jackson has come great riding, but not downhill at the resorts. I have no clue what jhmr is? Did the Village change its name? LOL awhile since I was in Jackson last. Cheers buddy! Oh and by the shape of me, you probably didn't know I ride either. I try to anyway. Like everything in life, buy the best stuff you can and hope you can do it. No excuses other than yourself being the weak link. I am the weak link, but I try still.

Hahaha hell ya buddy! I'm a 20 something in jackson...if there's a sport with a high chance of bodily injury i'm all about it (except paragliding, hevent done that yet). You never know who is into MTB! Its a sneaky group of people lol. Unless they're covered in road rash, then you can probably tell. Not the shape, just the age :p at some point after mid 30s most people get smarter and realize mountain biking is a losing battle with the ground. You must have just stayed radical

I'm a weak link uphill thats for sure! Most fun way to get a lower body and cardio workout in thats for sure!

Targhee's down hill is super fun (with an equally fun mix of XC trails), and never a line. Top to bottom runs, 1800ft of vert and a day pass is $45. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort = jhmr lol. interchangeable names with the village i suppose.

I have been hearing lots of good things about the new bike park at Kelly Canyon lately. $25 for a half day and $30 for a full day. I am not the best at the uphill either. Although the new bike climbs a million times better than the old one. But still want to put a oval chainring on the new one because it made such a big difference on the old one. But downhill is what I love. But after every big wreck I am out for a few weeks considering I am in my 40's now. But no matter how old I get, I will do it for the after ride beverages. If you ever get over to Poky again without the snow, bring your bike we have an amazing trail system here. I have been told it is world class, but to me it is just my local trails. And they are good. Even got some new really good jump trails if that is what you want to do. I will watch. or film.

I love Jackson area. Rode Targhee over Independence Day and had a blast. (There's also the Millcreek shuttle ride right there). and I aboslutely LOVED Teton Pass trails. Lithium, black canyon, fuzzy bunny, powerline, parallel. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Just watched a short lol video, kelly canyon looks like a rad little place to check out! My buddy built his bike with an oval ring, hes not entirely sure how much of a difference it made, but thats inspiring knowing it made a big difference on yours! I rode the trails there for a day in late april when i came to poky to buy a dirt bike. Definitely rode some fun trails around there. I didnt make it out to the jump park, but i need to, had a number of friends go right there when covid started and it was still too wet and muddy in jackson.

Riding a day at targhee, doing a mill creek ride, then getting a pass lap on the way back into town followed by a drink at the coach is about as good of a day on a bike as you could have. The pass has some real rowdy shit. I don't hit the jumps on fuzzy bunny or parallel (maybe a few at the top of parallel). Not quite ready for that level of commitment yet. Jimmys mom ive done all the hits following someone to speed match, but havent ridden it enough to know them all myself.

We did Mill Creek on Friday night. Targhee Saturday. and Teton Pass all day sunday. Most of the stuff at Teton pass I was towed in but I was easily clearing most of it. Such a good time. Sitting at stagecoach is a blast and then going for laps and laps of teton pass, such a rad time. dude, next time I'm up there, we should ride.

Yeah that will be unfortunate. They already messed up the posting last week. Supposedly the bid was above $50k before eBay deleted the posting cause they thought it was fake

What better place to put this than here.

I turn on the TV and start flipping around. I go to Motortrend and a show called Unique Rides is on. They do good work but not my style, more low rider newer stuff. This show was focused on Geraldo Rivera bringing in one of his vehicles to be more modernized. Nobody, even the owner Will of Unique Rides had any idea what he was bringing in. Geraldo pulls up in his 2004 Tacoma. He’s the original owner and this thing is beat to hell. Dents everywhere and a ripped up interior. He told will to have at it, just make it more modern.

Here’s some photos of before and after:

    5D09847A-520A-400F-AD66-EBD70ADE0FB6.jpg
    88ABA70C-8230-4744-8D8E-B2FE3A8861B7.jpg 95288A9A-0642-460A-8F53-6EADC3B2235E.jpg F8EC8992-0051-47E6-97B7-610E122819A9.jpg BE51FC9C-15A6-459C-B83A-360BF8A47999.jpg 8E354659-4D7E-4217-A7A9-9A710DA581FC.jpg AC513A30-A963-407E-9825-0EA6802F2E95.jpg 5FE4BBBD-C290-42CE-941B-5D1A3E692F4E.jpg DD6DA150-2ED7-404D-81FC-6913402F00C0.jpg C37080AD-4FE8-40A5-9F5E-1AA2A2E48C83.jpg 0BBF81DD-D0C1-424E-B25F-2C0C049EFD2F.jpg 6904C07A-83D0-41A8-B6B6-458E6A53BE3C.jpg 88AC7EEB-DCCF-4BC6-850E-3ECC23D970AF.jpg

And to top it off Geraldo has an old 2000’ish Kona Mountain Bike in the back that he unloads and rides home through NYC. Lol

More respect for that guy now. Multimillionaire with this old truck that he decides to freshen up instead of buying three new ones for the same price he paid. And commuting through NYC on that old mountain bike.

Sorry about the double posting of the photos. This site is tricky with photos and placing the print in the location you want it. I’ll figure it out eventually. ;) I was posting that on my cell phone, good enough excuse me hopes.

I love it with the dark green bikes. I have a set on my gravel bike. Ditch that Rockshox Recon (if that’s what it is) with silver stanchions and it’ll look even better.

The Jackson Pass trails are sweet! I went late summer a few years ago and they were blown out but it was rad how you could ride straight into town and catch a shuttle back to the top! That place is tough on tires though, I think I went through three tires in a long weekend

Switched from my old round bars and rack to Yakima HD Bars and RockyMounts HotRods. I used TitanStraps to secure the rear wheel to the bar since the hardware that comes with the KB Voodoo rear tire trays is incompatible with the t-slot on the bars. But that’s a problem/project for another day, it’s time to ride.
