DA0ACD3B-3654-45DC-AED1-E65BB154AEA0.jpg I’ve recently put a deposit down at a Toyota dealer down in Austin, Texas for a certified used 2017 Tacoma TRD PRO in cement with 57k miles. I got them down to $36,500. Just wondering if this is a good price? If you bought a used one, what did you pay?

I was originally looking for a pro, but noticed they seem way overpriced used (for what they are). Yeah I get it’s a Taco and they hold value, but $37k for a truck going on 4 years old with 57k miles?
I paid $33 For my 2020 OR with 2300 miles. Just doesn’t compute to me to pay the premium for a pro.

Considering what Tacomas are selling for at this moment, the price is not bad. If you were shopping 6 months ago or 6 months from now, then maybe you could get it lower. The low KBB for my 2016 TRD Sport is $33K, the sticker price on it back in 2015 was $34K. Check out the Carvana thread. Guys selling their trucks for more then they paid new. Granted, prices are starting to go down.

Seems like a lot for truck going on 4 years and 57k miles even if it is a pro. You can probably get a brand new 2020 OR for around that price or less depending on where you live. Hey - you already bought it so it doesn't matter anymore. If you're happy with the purchase enjoy your new truck

Just change your head lights, tail lights and rims to the 2020 variant and you got a 2020 pro look alike. Definitely high for a used truck with the age and mileage.

Fully loaded 2020 Sports are going over $40K. Not too much inventory due to COVID so the Tacomas are fetching a premium now. If you can wait, I would wait until inventory levels are back to normal, but that wont happen this model year. Probably for a 2021 in the first quarter of next year, things should be a little better.

Yeah, heard the prices for the 2020 are crazy with very little wiggle room due to limited supply. I was at the dealer a month ago for service and they only two Tacomas on the lot. Not sure how things are now

Yeah it was a major score. The first owner had already done some nice mods to it too. This was back in Feb, so I am sure those types of deals are unheard of on Tacos in the current climate. Still, my point is that even before COVID I think the Premium for a PRO in the used market just wasn’t worth it. But to each their own, if you’re happy that’s all that matters

Pretty bad right now. I have a deposit on a 2020 OR DCSB 4x4 in cement with only Tech and led headlights package. MSRP is 39,465. They tried to ask me 38k with the rebate, I said hell no give me my deposit back. They messaged me back with an offer of 36,800 which is 6.9% off MSRP, around 100 bucks off from 7%. I can buy at that price, not the best but not much wiggle room in the current market. This is in central Texas.

Think you did pretty good to get them to drop the price almost $3K. When do you think you'll get the truck?

They told me high possibility that it will get to the dealer this Saturday. It has no accessories built in to the price. I already have the carpets, OEM tailgate lock, Blackout kit, Wheel locks, MESO Total tail stage 1, Meso's gasshole, Meso's map lights, door sills (on order), edge guards (on order), and the Toyota GBS. I also already have my financing lined up. Just going to buy and leave.

Too high would have saved my $$ for when the craziness is over and had a nice down payment for a new one.

That’s a fantastic deal. I paid 40.5k brand new in 2018 from a dealer for mine and I thought I did pretty good! 0451A362-6556-46C3-8EB5-9933FF0D5DE9.jpg

I'm not trying to start a debate but I think the price is in the ballpark. Considering that these trucks were $43k new and the market today. Took me a while to find one and it was 6 hours away when I did. I paid about thousand less for mine with 32k miles but wasn't certified. Only made the Cement Pro one year. If you are sold on that color and trim package, then what other option do you have? I considered buying a new Cement offroad back in 2019 for around the same price point but glad I didn't. I don't need all that TSS nonsense. If it's exactly what you want and plan on driving it a while...enjoy it and be happy.
