Just finished up a little ~1300 mile trip through Idaho and Montana and back home. Picked up a used Tepui Autana 3 on the way which worked out great. That about brings me to 10k since March!

Pulled into a parking lot in Missoula to grab a pizza and looked what pulled in next to me! We both said it was our first time seeing another taco in AG!

I have yet to see another AG in the wild, or anywhere. Tons of quicksand in my area though:notsure:
How do you like the Autana3? Enough room for two adults and a medium sized dog? Debating on the 3 or 4 or the Ruggedized.

It is great! We are the same setup, two adults (175lb 5'10, 135lb 5'8) plus a medium-sized dog (50lb), and its a perfect fit. The longer legroom gives the dog some room at your feet. We do have another bigger lab (75lb), but he had ACL surgery a few weeks ago, so he had to stay home, but when he's back, we will probably keep them both in the back of the truck bed or put up the annex that it came with for another enclosed room. We ended up getting a Queen sized mattress topper from Target and cutting 4" off the width since the sleeping area is 96x56. Had an extra heavy down comforter along with the Tepui sheets, so we used that instead of sleeping bags, and it was almost like being at home! We would have purchased it anyway but the guy we bought it from also included the anti condensation mat for under the mattress and the heavy duty exterior weather shell. We're planning on ordering the interior insulation as well for winter. That said, I can see why the industry is starting to switch to clamshells, all that much faster, although I do have it down to about 5min or less open or close. We are thinking about an overland trailer so we could drop that for camp and still drive out fishing or something, pros and cons as with any purchase, you know how it goes...

I did find a nice lift on Amazon that works perfectly for the tent, which will speed up getting it on and off the truck too. One annoyance did arise in the fact that the Thule roof rack bars that I have are the exact width where they mount to the canopy as the bars on the bottom of the tent where they attach to the roof rack bars, so the tent is slightly offset on top of the canopy. I will try to get a picture to clarify because that probably doesnt make sense.

Lmk if you have any other questions.

Bring on the Faux Pros - I can't wait to see all of the "I made mine better than a real Pro and it's even in Army Green" posts.

I don’t know what you all think, but I think the AG loses some of its mojo on the lower trims. I think the different grills, or wheels, lack of hood scoop, and chrome instead of blacked out badging, change the look for the worse. It’s still okay, I guess. There’s going to be a crap-ton of AG faux-pros over the next few years!

As far as lunar rock for the ‘21 Pro? Not a fan. VERY glad I got my ‘20 AG when I did! The only worse color is voodoo blue, IMHO. Maybe it’s better in person.

LOL you guys are so worried about some people encroaching on your AG territory. I'm sure there will be some "AG Faux TRD Bros" as there always is, but I'm also already seeing the gate-keeping starting here! :D Just let people enjoy the color, it's the way Toyota has always done it and likely will continue to do so. Pro exclusive one year, then down the line the next. You knew it was coming. I'm sure it'll be the same in the Lunar Rock thread this year!

I debated about getting a Pro, and thus AG, but it was basically impossible to get a Pro 6MT by the time I was ready to buy. So I went with a loaded Off-Road 6MT in my #1 favorite color - Cement. They still whine in the Cement thread occasionally about too many people buying the color, but I say the same thing to them. Just let people enjoy the color they like!

:D Of course we’re all kidding but I’m sure there’s a tiny part in each one of us that doesn’t want it to happen. I like making people look! It’s sure fun to be sitting somewhere but able to see the truck and watch people start talking about it. Good or bad, doesn’t matter to me, they’re talking about the color of a Tacoma...not a Ferrari, BMW, Aston Martin... a Tacoma! :D:D

Cement is a great color and if I hadn't been enamored with AG would have been my second choice.. it's nice to have people moon over a color and I have had so many random people tell me they love my truck but all good things come to an end. Let the masses have AG and just sit back and know we are the OG kids :)

I’m a week in owning the AG TRD PRO. Again, my first Tacoma.. and truck really Love it so far. But what the hell is wrong with the camera quality. Absolutely amazing they have birds eye view, but the quality of the camera or screen is so bad. Don’t know how they missed the mark in this area. Is there any fix for this? Is it bad cameras or the screen quality?

I got a Tesla Model x for my wife and you can see the lice on the ants on the road.. with this, I can’t tell if I’m backing up into a Ford or fellow Tacoma... I need to know whether to hit the gas or brakes‍♂️.
