im not too sure if they make a kit for your truck (1st Gen). Im pretty sure this kit won't work for your truck :( (the kit mentioned in the OP)

Enola's truck is completely custom lol...
to put it simply he put a dub cab body and a 5 lug extended cab frame..

Man, do I ever agree with rch10007. My wife is short, my dog can't hop like he used. I don't hop like I used to. I love my '07 double cab long bed, but hate getting stuff in or out of the bed. And me "jumping" up into the bed is not a pretty sight. More like a crawl. I am going to lower mine using the kit mentioned here, as soon as Uncle Sammy gives me my tax money back.

I got a copy of the installation manual. It looks pretty straight forward, and something I can do in my driveway. A buddy and a six pack should be enough.

I talked to a guy who lowered his, and says the ride is smoother, not as much "rolling" feel when corning. Same suspension, just a lower center of gravity.

Sorry, I know this is a little late, but fwiw the valance is a performance products valance. It was originally made by KBD urethane but marketed under performance products. They are kind of hard to come by but you can find them every now and then on ebay.

I'm glad after days of searching... I stumbled across this thread. Anyone know what size wheels are in the pictures in Post #1 on Page 1? Looks like 20's but I'm not sure.

Cool. I'll be picking up a DC/SB TRD Sport when I return from deployment. I've been doing some research before I get back state side. I definitely want to go a street style look. I'm planning on going with a set of 20's too. This would work out perfectly. I just have to make sure the wheel specs are straight.

    others with the same pattern:
    Escalade
    Might Max
    Dodge D50
Mazda B2200 (older models, box like one, not the one that looks like a Ranger)
    Tahoe (newer models)
    Suburban (" ")

Whats the point in getting a Prerunner and lowering it? Why not just get a Xrunner or 5 lugger to begin with?

I got a job which requires me to carry tools, haul 100foot plumbing snake machine, remove trees, trash out apartments, haul building supplies, etc...

I got simple solution... I got two vehicles for the price of one new one... Instead of getting new DC I got used 5lugger and used Camry, besides the wifey needs to get back and forth to work... Honestly I couldn't have the DC, because of the short bed and well long bed with DC looks funky... The regular cab is awesome! Due to lack of cab space it is MY truck and the Camry is the family car :D

I do see a point in lowering... I started with base 5lugger... It was easy to get stuff in and out of the bed, easier to get in and out of the cab... The only downside was that the Taco looked plain funny with those tiny tires... After Fat Bob's 5lug lift & 31's, the Taco looks great for 5lugger, but its harder to load/unload and get in and out of the cab... With each comes some give and some take.
