What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It rode fine with the 600 springs, but definitely compressed more and rubbed a bit under load, off-road -- when it didn't before the bumper was installed. I have not yet taken it off-road with the 700s, but I can already feel a difference - as I have hit some driveways at speed to get a feel of it. It doesn't help that all the National Forests in CA have been temporarily closed, so I will need to find some local trails for testing. I will comment back here when I can go hit something for real.

Victory's lead time for bumpers was listed as 4-6 weeks, and I got mine in less than 3 weeks.

Bumper should be on time--- I mean't the suspension stuff. 6112s are sold out pretty much everywhere. Rears are even harder to find. Looking at Icons too

 

Ahh, gotcha.

 

Quick & easy tailgate protection... the top lip was taking some abuse with chips/scratches. So, I popped off the plastic gate cap, cleaned w/alcohol and added a strip of 2" waterproof traction tape. Good way to cover unsightly nicks as well as add some additional protection.

 

I’m in week 12 waiting on my sliders from Victory 4x4 with their listed lead time at 4-6 weeks.

 

Yeah, I am in need of sliders, too -- and I think the long lead times are going to be the experience with most of the companies out there, unfortunately.

 

Not sure if anyone answered this for you yet, but you can have them set to come on automatically when you open the doors (just like the brake light above the rear window of the bed) Or they can be turned on and off manually from the switch on the dash to the left of your steering wheel. Got mine from Amazon...

Read it, didn't see any. Maybe I missed it, but would rather see real #'s.

 

I installed these, 2x blue and 1x white between the blue on each side under the bed rails. I already have a manual switch in a switch panel I installed in the LS cubby.

I know some are tired of hearing it but the blackout I'm interior is complete. I went with @TVDVinylDecals and it worked great.

 

I have been in talks with him.
If he can get an order of 5, he can ship it via slow boat as the cheapest shipping option of around $300-350 total, and around 40 days from Hong Kong to California. Split between the 5 skidplates that would be around $200-230. Otherwise it is UPS at $220 USD per unit.

At an order of 20 units, the skidplate cost $145 each.

 

Any issue with the skid plate so far? Is it identical to the real thing?
