Buying furniture on online auctions isn't something I would have told my 21 year old self I would be doing... But here I am looking for deals on auction sites, and winning bids on things we need for the new house for a fraction of what it is new.

I've become my wife's grandpa (who in his racist self would have said I just Jew'd them...).

What sites do you use?

 

I used river city furniture auction tonight. It's in Sac (or LA, so pick the correct one). There's another that came up, but it's past Merced and that's a long drive for savings

 

Haha, Tiffany and I have actually been to the over on South Watt a few times. I used to work around the corner from it, and we've bought various things there in person. They typically have multiples available, and if they like the final bid on an item, they'll allow others to buy the extra inventory at the same price.
It used to be a $50 refundable deposit to get your bidder card/number, but that was obviously pre-COVID.

Everything is online now. You can go "view" items in person during the week. I pick up my stuff Wednesday, so I will view the following weeks stuff when there. Erica laughed at me when I first started looking.

 

That's sad. They were all BYOB when we were going... People'd show up and sip on bottles of wine, or have coolers of beer. Fun times!

My next door neighbor. He's had it seven years. Loves it. Tows a two axles horse trailer, and two Arabians with that truck. He was a GMC truck guy for years.

 

DMV sent my wife her tags and reg twice. with two different sticker #s.

 

I sold out after the rear end shit the bed just after the warranty expired.
