Talked with a friend that’s 85” wide he’s ran shoestring no issues. With the LT +2 I’m only at 80”.

That's nuts. I remember going through trees where it seemed like I had about 1" on either side of me and I think 3rd gens are 75".

Yup. I love the set up because I am like 80% street. Even with the sway bar removed it still handles way better than stock. My only regret would not be getting the extended length for a little more droop. I may eventually go ADS in the future, but I've had zero issues with my front suspension so far.

Nice, i've been eyeing this setup for myself and run about the same, 90% street with light off-roading up here in backwoods of alaska. Might just pull the trigger in that case ^^

Slowly starting to collect parts for the 63 swap...picked up never used ford shock towers for almost free! So no need for the custom mounts. Will need to mod these a bit so they're closer to the bed and handle a ressie hose. Time to hunt for some leaf springs now...

Been a while but I went snow wheeling with my buddy and the taco did well to get to some remote spots away from the Christmas tree hunting crowd. Also took up the fam for some sleddin'

Then got stuck in the mud and had to get yanked out.

Went snow wheeling again and didn't find any new sledding areas so we ventured back to where we went last time. This time there was about an extra 2' of snow and we were the first ones to trail blaze.

Almost made it back to our spot but ultimately got bogged down when my diff started to drag and was just spinning in the super slick snow.

While backing up to turn around I somehow smacked only my latch into a rock, broke my latch and bent that section of the swing arm. Apparently the pins were proprietary and I had to get a new latch. Luckily @At The Helm was extremely helpful in helping me procure a new one. A+++ customer service as usual.

The swing arm and bumper managed to cut through one ratchet strap but I was able to make it home with it tied securely on until I could take the whole thing off to assess the damage.

I thought I might need a torch to bend it back into place but a few whacks with a 4 pound hammer was all it needed. Spent a little bit of time sanding and retouching up areas with some rattle can (I primered and sprayed everything initially with a paint gun) for some rust prevention.

Finally put in an el cheapo light bar from Amazon. My previous light bar I had (in bumper) I used maybe like 15 minutes total so I couldn’t justify the cost of a 400 dollar one to use for maybe 5 minutes a year.

Welp it’s been a while since I posted. I had this annoying clunking and rotational noise coming from my right rear brake for a while and checked it out. Turned out to be a bent drum backing plate and bent brake shoes. Thanks Toyota for shitty drums.

@drr and I took apart the drum hardware and pulled the axle out to replace the backing plate.
