It didn't say "pre-order" or "back ordered" when I bought the Software + Cable bundle from OV, and but I haven't gotten a shipping code yet either.

Once I get my .reg file, I'll be itchin' to flash my truck!

If our file has 25600.xx, should we change it to 1?

I'm tring to understand this. Looking at 04B90 Super FOB Prem the ACIS Activation RPM High is set at 7250 and the RPM Low is set at 2700. So is the ACIS not set for optimum operation? I assume the ACIS opens linearly from 2700 RPM (starts to Open) to 7250RPM (Fully Open) in this file. Stock was Rpm High 3650 and RPM Low 2700. Was it changed just to get rid of the power surge that was talked about often?

Anyone have any insight on this?

I tried changing to 1 and saving but when I reopened the table it was back to a weird number. I think it's an issue with the current version of VF Tuner software

I believe it flicks open quickly at that 2,700rpm setting. 7,250 is probably there to match the current rev limiter setting so it doesn't close.

Hmmmm, maybe I'll try changing the rpm low to 3400 rpm like @OVTune mentioned. I'll try and data log the ACIS to see how it opens.

It is odd that it is set that low. The file should be set to the value that OVT noted as a starting point.

Unless I'm not seeing something it doesn't seem that ACIS is available in the PID list to data log.

Thanks for the correction! It looks like I was getting it confused with high.

not feeling the surge would mean it needs to be down around 2,000 right? Just curious since my truck feels like it has a power surge similar to the power band of an ‘88 YZ 125.

I do apologize. I was incorrect in that post. Frank has the proper info:

That said, if you are feeling something at about 2,700, testing it higher or lower may help.

    Sorry for the confusion.

    this and that...
man. although unorthodox, kinda glad i just stacked my sb with premium sfob, cause i really cant ask more than that. i have my truck exactly where i want it to be, can adjust the throttle on the fly (pretty much kept it at sport9 since ive gotten ovt), and am pretty confident im done flashing...well...until we get to that boosted bridge; but thats for another day.

Yes, I found it in Techstream. The range is +/- 100% duty cycle. I havent had a chance to go log, but will post results when I do.

When using stock calibration you can feel the surge around 3700 rpm, and that would make scene since the RPM high activation stock was 3650 RPM.

Oh yeah. As much as I like old school turbos, I really didn't like that in the Taco Stock tune. Mainly because the low end was so flat for a decent sized V6.

It goes +100% on activation. Then settles between 16.9-17.2% up to 20+sec, in some cases only for a second or two.
    Then goes -100%

Just flashed my Alive+Performance tune stacked with my 2D Performance tune. Took values off AP throttle request Airload map, and entered on the 2D file with the increased throttle per gear maps. We'll see if it makes a difference or not. Man I love this shit
