Isn't it great being married to a badass biker chick?!

    upload_2020-9-11_12-52-54.jpg

We're actually shopping for a second mountain bike for my wife. She's got a Pivot Mach 4 for XC, but now she's gotten in to enduro and needs something bigger. Good deals in size S are hard to come by, but I think the 5010 is a bit less travel than she needs.

We were looking at a second-hand Specialized Enduro for sale locally, but decided we should wait until her broken arm heals up so she can demo...

Check out the Transition Scout. Just got one for the lady who is 4' 11". 27.5, 140 rear, 150 front. Not technically a true enduro but damned close. You can actually make them 150mm with a bigger shock. Bump up to 160 in the front and hello enduro :)

Absolute black 30t. I was skeptical when buying but it notice a difference. Especially punchy climbs and rooty climbs. I also find my bike likes to stay in higher gears now. It’s definitely worth it.

I've personally had my eye on Transition, so I'll suggest it. She's a pretty big fan girl of Pivot though, so I think she's gonna push for a Mach 5.5 or Mach 6. Pivot's are freaking spendy though! They really don't make a cheap build on any of their bikes.

Eh, she likes what she likes. I don't know if I'll ever ride anything other than Evil in the foreseeable future so I get it.

Where are you in Utah? Actually planning to move out that way (SLC area) in May of next year!

Ha, I get it too, but I also want some of that money for other things...like the truck! So I'll keep trying to convince her to pick something cheaper.

As @ginseng27 will tell you though, we're full here in Utah... ;).

I'm basically downtown SLC in a neighborhood called the Avenues. It's a great spot for us cause we can bike commute on singletrack and it's a really nice neighborhood. Only downside is, it's a little far from most bike trails and skiing. Reach out if you do end up moving and there's a few of us that can show you around.

    "Bike commute on singletrack"

If that's not a selling point, I don't know what is.

Sucks. I’m assuming my riding season is over. West coast is going up in flames and can’t even breathe walking around.

Yeah, that freakish storm just completely destroyed my return trip across the U.S.

I had just arrived in Angel Fire when I got word that the snow was heading my way and I was forced to cancel five days worth of camping and riding throughout the Rockies. Major bummer. :frusty:
