possible - but shift points for those who have regeared (4.88 or 5.29) may need some attention. Time will tell. I've been through nearly all of the Tune revisions from Mat (1.02 to present) so I'd expect this to be a work in progress until they have enough user input. Hope they have taken Mat's 2.0 and improved upon it. That would be a nice bonus to the mod.

I assume that entering in tire size and gears to adjust shift points appropriately like Mat has done will be a step in the right direction
    Your words, not mine.

    Nice!

I received mine yesterday. Unfortunately was missing a couple parts...:facepalm:I suspect it might have fell out during shipping. The accessory box was partially open at the bottom when it arrived. UPS didn’t exactly handle with care.

Deff interested in the SC. But only after I understand the tune. If it’s not built off 2.0 it’s not worth my time.

FYI - Magnuson sent me my cal file today and said it’s only for the stock exhaust manifold and CATs. I asked if they’re planning to create a file for after market and he said no. Kind of disappointing. I have the OVT catted dump pipes and it looks like I’ll have to remove them and put the stock ones back on. The file is locked so we can’t edit with VFT. I asked if it’s possible to get an editable version and also if they have plans to offer custom tune files. Waiting for a response. I’m guessing the answer is no.

Yeah that's how they do their warranty. They only honor their warranty if it's installed with other stock components

Yeah I agree and I understand their reasoning. However, I don’t really care about the warranty so I wish they would offer something and just say it voids warranty, sign on the dotted line.......

7 large for what 30-40HP. I'm starting to think this is why it took so long to roll out this product. I'm not impressed that kind of dough plus other ancillaries that people are likely to buy like intake and exhaust etc, put this over 8 large pretty quick. Let's not forget the cost of installation assuming that you don't want to mess with it.

The smart money will sit on the side lines and either wait for better tuning, drive the truck as is or just move on. There's no way i'd spend that kind of money on this and hope that better tuning files were coming from Magnuson. They've been working on this for years.

I’d rather have my truck run and tuned properly from the get go than take a warranty.

I hear you. And I agree. At the present time, the cost vs gains don't seem to be a fair trade and we don't yet know if it will stay that way or if an updated tune will be rolled out to customers in the future. Lots of unknowns and unfortunately, it may simply be on customers to voluntarily void their warranty and seek an improved tune elsewhere.
    I agree.

Where exactly are you getting 30 to 40HP from? You have data? Smart money should be invested and not sitting on the side line. Buying boost should be with play money.

Buying boost from a company that has supposedly been working on this system for 4 years should include a final polished tune. Smart money would be to wait and see what is actually released before getting stuck with something you're going to have to throw even more money at by buying OVT (if you don't already have it), and paying for more dyno time to get the power you paid for.

How do you know it’s not making the power they’re advertising? No matter how good someone tunes something there will always be someone that’s not satisfied. The OVT NA tune is a prime example. There’s a bunch of people happy with it (me included) and there’s those that are not. At the end it comes down to expectations. I guess my definition of smart money is different because there’s nothing smart about buying boost...it’s just all about fun and play. I’m just going for the ride and I’m sure it’ll be fun!

I never claimed it wasn't. I do find it suspicious that they have yet to publish any actual dyno charts, and any of the "pre-release" installation videos have either not mentioned numbers at all, or said they were not allowed to say anything. The cropped and smoothed graph posted here certainly doesn't cut it. Personally, it only makes me think they are trying to play down power promises and rely on their reputation and advertising to sell the product.

Can it make the numbers they claim, probably. Does it? No one actually knows, but all the material released up until now does not inspire confidence.

Tim foil hat in here, but I think if the dyno numbers were great they'd be waving that from the tallest flag pole on the internet

it's all fine but historically with this kind of thing in the performance aftermarket, if you have any hype or pep rally approach to release you better have the goods objectively clear on the other side or they'll be asking about it. like is happening here.

would you spend $10k on feel good promises? it will probably come around and maybe fully in a big way, but hype is hype and confidence is, well in my case low, like lapoltba.
