Speaking of the 3.5 and manual trans, mine is getting a new Magnuson Supercharger.... they just arrived. I have an extra unit just waiting for another New Englander.

 

I will get back to you next Monday the 21st after camping. If someone wants it before that, don't hold it up for me though.

This unit is just hitting the market... Should be widely available next month. I snagged two early units.... can only sell locally at my dealer level. Retail is $6565

 

Can you pm me some more information please. Price is good. I know they did the R&D for the TRD Superchargers in the earlier years.

 

I'm actively saving for a 3rd car. I've got $600, which is not nearly where I need to be, but it will happen, unless the Supra market crashes on me, or the C5 market gets red hot, which means I can get a Supra and be done with it. I want something European or JDM with four doors to take the kids around. I've been spending too much time on FnF nostalgia posts and want to go back down that road again.

The powerband is bizzaro. It drives like a turbo car, or something with a really noticeable VTEC crossover. It's frustrating when it falls on its face, TBH which always happens at the worst times. Like you need power, so you put your foot in and then nothing. By the time you get the power, which does come in a rush, you've already gotten where you need to go. If you absolutely boot it off the line, it'll move, but it's not particularly smooth in the higher RPMs. My buddy has a Tactrix cable, so I'm tempted to flash the TSB tune myself, but I'll try and get it at my next service. That being said, it's still better than driving an automatic any day of the week.
