I am sure this has been asked numerous times but have a 2017 SR5 Tacoma and changing the headlights to the LED DRL planks from a TRD. I have the Diode Dynamic Switchback led boards going in and it has a 4 wire converter. I was thinking of taping in to the 3 wire DRL plug to run the boards, is this wrong?

I have a plug and play wiring harness coming from Diode Dynamics and they said it would work with all 3rd Gen Tacomas but I am thinking it will work with the one with the factory LED DRLs.

    Thoughts?

The DTRL's are high & low, if that is what you are asking.
In the 4 space connector going to them is green (high) and pink or light blue ( left & right) [low] and ground. You need to duplicate that since the SR5 is lacking the "green" input.

I see what you are saying now, so how do you run the add a fuse wire from the fuse box to the relay? I was hoping I could snake it through an existing hole but do not see one.

The relay box is held on by tabs on the fuse box and should just pull straight up and cover comes off to get access to the relays correct?

    Correct.
Use the wire bundle nearest the engine side of the engine fuse box to exit without drilling holes to the edge or cover like some have already.
