Just put on my rear OME Shocks and Dakar springs. I have two questions:

My old lift came with 1/4 inch top plate spacers. I am ready to install my from 881/OMe shocks--should I keep the spacers or not? Thoughts, opinions?

Is my CV angle to bad?

I guess that was 3 questions. I am not too concerned with a mild rake in the back but I would rather take the pressure off of the CVs if they are bad. Diff drop already installed.

I plan to install OME AALs once they are off backorder for the load in the back.

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
I put 1/4” spacers on both sides of mine. Put me at about the same as the 3” spacer I had before.

In process, rust sucks. I’m replacing damn near everything.

Frame was replaced, body is good but every f’ing nut and bolt is rusted, brakes had no useable parts left. All new OEM, only around 4,000 later. Still waiting on parts.

new steering rack, new lca’s, new brakes, new cv axles, new PS lines, some new brake lines, new spindles, new backer plates, new hubs bearings and seals.

I ordered my 881 & AAL kit and I'm waiting for everything to show up. ARB says that my factory u-bolts will work even with the AAL. Does anyone know if that info is correct or not? Wheelers off road put me in the right direction for the u-bolts they sell, but the shipping is almost as much as the bolts. I want to make sure before I order. I also had a question about the exhaust. I have a magnaflow cat back and it exits between the frame and the spring, instead of under the spring. Looks like it will clear the springs just fine to me, but was wondering if anyone else had that combination? Lastly, I’m really doing this install because of the weight I’m now carrying on a daily basis. With my camper shell, 4xinnovations rear bumper with a swing out, pull out drawer full of tools in the bed, aux battery and auxiliary fuel tanks under the truck I’m easily 1k lbs heavier in the rear opposed to stock. I have airlift air springs in place now to level the truck, the thing is I have to run 60psi in the bags to keep the truck level, the bags max out at 100psi. I plan on keeping the air springs even after the ome installation if I have the clearance. My main problem with my setup now is that most of the weight is being placed on the chassis just ahead of the rear axle. I’ve got frame reinforcements, but waiting to get everything in before changing anything. There is a gap between the cab and the top of the camper shell that closes when I let the air out of the bags. My frame is clearly flexing majorly right behind the cab and is most noticeable when I put my truck on my lift and lift it off the ground. The rearmost point to set a two post lift is right in front of the rear spring eye bolts. No, my frame isn’t rusted, broken or cracked...I’ve looked over and over. No sound is made when lifting the truck, but the gap will make you think the frame is about to break. I’m hoping that putting the pressure of the weight back where the springs attach to the frame, will greatly help my flexing problem. Any information would be great!

U-bolts should not be reused. Get a new set. When torqued, u-bolts stretch and the threads deform.

And get your frame reinforcement plates on there. They will definitely help to stiffen up the frame.

It’s a small price to pay for peace of mind I guess. I just ordered them, the thing is ARB actually told me to reuse my factory bolts...and so did 4wp. I also went with the diff drop kit, extended brake line, and carrier bearing drop. I hope this is all going to be worth it. I’ve put it off for so long because I’m happy with my ride height. Maybe it won’t be too terribly jacked up after I’m done with it.
    Thanks.

Hey guys I just ordered the OME full kit. With 881s , I was wondering if the 882 will give more lift ? Also the Dakar leaf pack with d43xl. My question is 881 with wo d43xl ? Or 882 w d43xl ? I have a 01 double cab with a camper shell , with factory front and rear bumpers. Also ordered JBA UCA and diff drop. Any replies will help. Thank you

So has anyone got a set of OME rear springs with the magnaflow cat back? I’ve got all of my other questions answered except this one. I’ll post some pics of my current horrible setup to get a better understanding of what I’m talking about. It appears that they will work together without any brackets, but I guess I won’t be sure until everything is installed. It will be nice for the exhaust to be tucked up higher like it is now. I’ll make it work if I have to. 11EC689C-59CC-45F6-AF61-1C2932B2FCE1.jpg5DE7A219-1279-4F3D-A5CC-0F98EE5907DE.jpg

Out of the 881s, 882s and 883s, the 882s will give you the most lift with a stock bumper. I have the 882s and dakars (without AAL installed but I still have them on hand) and I have a very small rake with a toolbox as well. Do you keep the camper on 24/7? If so I vote 882s w D43xl but that’s just me.

Anyone do an OME upgrade on the front and not do anything to the rear? Looks like its necessary to lift the rear at least an inch to get the OME or Bilstein shocks.

Your exhaust is fine, I wouldn't touch it.
The reason for the OME exhaust bracket (lowers the exhaust tip) is that the factory exhaust is routed under the leaf spring.
