Sorry the 1990 454SS truck isn't all that fast by todays standards. I'm sure by now some of those ponies have escaped the power barn

265/75R16 Wildpeak AT3W, Softopper, Kicker speakers, shift knob, Ventvisors, Tint, Husky Weatherbeaters, Hondo Garage radio knobs. The to do list: Bilstein 6112/5160, 3 leaf add-a-leafs, lights, alu skid, PRP seat covers...
I'd line up against a 454 SS before I did a Syclone or a Typhoon. The 454 SS was still almost a 8 second 0-60. A blown taco close to stock in weight should have no problem running with or a little quicker than a 454 SS. I know my stock Tundra 4x4 would have beaten a 454 SS 0-60.

Its a different era. Most of what was fast in 1990 can probably kept up with a 2020 V6 Camry. A Civic Type R would be a formidable opponent to most of 1990's hottest cars.

Yeah it’s a different era. I wasn’t familiar with the watered down 454 in those trucks, I’m old school lol, grew up in the era of the early 70’s muscle cars, the Chevy Chevelle 450hp LS6-equipped SS 454 could run 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds and cover the quarter mile in 13.44 at 108 mph. Wave at it as it blows by your Taco, your Tundra, and even the Civic Type R in the quarter mile. Not bad for “a different era” eh?
    https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article/1970-1972-chevelle-ss-45
Even the thought that a Tacoma would keep up with my brothers 1969 Chevelle 396 SS (he did some work on the engine, performance cam, 4 barrel Holley, etc) even when stock is laughable. :D

I know its not apple's to apple's. But I used a catless exhaust on my tundra with the magnuson SC with no ill effects.

I figure as long as you keep an eye on AFR it wont damage anything

I agree it probably won’t damage anything, but that CEL will probably be lit up and that’ll drive me crazy.

Received an email from Magnuson this morning indicating the tune is for stock trucks up 33 inch tires. It also said work is ongoing for more heavily modified trucks.

The compressor is an Eaton TVS1900, large and efficient, it will support far more power than most folks are after.

I’ll wait to see what people can mod to get more out of the supercharger. Pulley, fuel pump, fuel injectors. Basically the same stuff as the power max kit from ovtune.

I have a strong sense that fuel pump controllers and tunes are going to be wanted from @OVTune , once people start pushing the Maggy envelope.

Probably the Lexus D.I.'s as well.

Yup. Smart dude, really. Hopefully he's ramping up production on the controllers and drop ins lol.

The problem is going to be the DI injectors. They are $$$ and limited availability from Lexus. I hope in the future there's a more cost effective "off the shelf" replacement.

That's a good point but I feel like they could ramp up production to meet demand easier than Matt could.

Are there aftermarket upgrades available for the Lexus community?

I haven't looked into it too much. I wouldn't think so as they are from a LS500 which is probably not a frequently modded platform..

True. But then the price is still insane (~$2K+ for a set of 6)

Damn I didn't realize they were that much. Hopefully Holley comes out with a sweet 4 Barrel double pumper to compliment the OEM fueling. How far along are you on yours?
