    Probably 409 stainless. Having good material makes a BIG difference! Your weld on the right side is pretty darn good! Probably because you were welding to a piece of 304 that I supplied originally.

    This is quite true. Whatever it is it took more heat before puddling, compared to the 304.

    yeah not sure on the grade of the pipe for the catback but at least its solid-ish (i.e. not rusting, minus the craptastic clamps). The overall setup is good, imo, but a bit too raspy for me. volume wise its good from inside the cab. I'll prob do some research on resonators and/or adding a smaller 2nd muffler to see how that will handle the rasp. I do believe that the y pipe and high flow cat have helped minimized what could've been much more rasp.

    Thanks! I’ll PM you soon. I did read the OP just not all pages.

    I have a mildly modded truck: I made an upper intake manifold spacer of 18mm, installed the 3degree retarded exhaust Cam gears, removed the resonator from my intake and have a tune from JustDSM. So plans to supercharge. What benefits could I expect from this y-pipe? I would likely combine with the URD equal length headers but not sure. Adjusting tune after is also a given. Any input appreciated! TIA!

    I havent started on 3rd gen trucks yet.
    There is one JFR y-pipe on a 2wd stick but nothing available for at least 6 months.

    More efficient engine basically.
    A properly designed exhaust assists in exhaust scavenging that allows the engine to breath more efficiently.

    Also smoothes the exhaust note.
