What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Nabbed some labor day deals on some prep parts that got delivered this week. ECGS bearing with tools and CMC plates from BAMF.

 

Nothing yet, working on it tomorrow.

I did just receive an email that my RCI full skid package was shipped

 

Picked up some wiring harness clamps. They are cheap ($1 something a piece).
I cut the ones at the bottom of my fuse box and will use these to secure the wires I'm adding plus the factory wires that are already there.

 

Thanks! When I bought it I was thinking of swapping them out when I get new tires. But they have grown on me a lot. Dig not having an all black wheel.

 

Refi'd my 2014 sr5 today. Bought at 60k miles 3 years ago, has 100k now. It appreciated in value however much my tax and fees were + 550$. Extended my term a little and paid off my credit cards in full. Feels good. Got a .5% lower rate and it only cost 100$.

 

Did a quick drivers side hub assembly swap and got all packed up to hit Potts Mountain in the morning.

$135 Uniden CMX760 Bearcat Off Road Series Compact Mobile CB Radio, 40-Channel Operation, Ultra-Compact for Easy Mounting, Large 7-Color Backlit LCD Display on Mic with Built-in Speaker Mic, Black

Uniden CMX760 cb installed. Well haven't mounted the mic yet but it's in the truck. Slid the brain under the cupholders and removed the cigarette lighter plug and used that for the power source.

Now I just need to mount the mic and get a blank plug cover to put over the lighter hole.

 

Been spending the past three nights wiring up my dual battery setup. Nothing too fancy here with just an isolator between the starter and aux battery in the bed. Will likely add 100W solar next month, but just roll with the alternator charging for my 3 week trip starting next week. This was pretty much a direct transfer over from my Subaru dual battery setup so I'm seeing there's definitely better DC-DC chargers, but the price was right already having everything but the wire in the garage.

I want those lights so bad but they don't make them for the 12 to 15 models. They look amazing!!!!! How is the output on them?

 

The Tacoma option is a lot less trouble.

Hunting down a rogue noise and removed the underseat storage bins to see if they were the cause. Might slap some sound-deadening material in there while they are out.
