Wow this is crazy. Even crazier people are potentially fueling or starting more fires. Stay safe all and god bless

Most of that is hogwash, there has been only one arrest for attempted arson in an area that was already burning, I'm guessing it will be a case of he didn't like the home owner or ex-wife and thought he could cover up the arson or just a crazy guy that this kind of event brings out
There has been some looting arrests, always someone trying to capitalize on someone else pain
Most of the points of origin are miles in the woods from major roads and were burning for a week before the hot dry East winds picked up.

Yea staying inside is a must. We sealed our vents and we are running a hepa filter in our HVAC. We just can’t go outside for a long time. I was just unpacking our vehicles and came back in a blew black and grey out of my nose.

well... hate to tell you but there is proof of people looting and starting fires in Clackamas county. I have been listening to scanner for 3 days and I have a friend that ran someone off his property.

don’t make my post political because I don’t care who you are if you start fires you need to be fucking dealt with.

I don't want to get into the political ether but I don't want to see wild accusations and rumors go unchecked ether.

I should have put a finer point on what I said:
As of the evening of 9/11/20 there was only one official charge of arson related the fires and it was not the root cause of the fire in Southern Oregon

What I was trying to get across is that the main fire events that started in the deep mountain areas are not likely arson, probably dry lighting or power transmission line failure maybe camping indecent

As I said this kind of thing brings out the crazy in people. I want to know what kind of arsonist they are; pure fire bug, trying to cover up other crime, hate/revenge, political statement. I think there is a lot of 2 and 3, some of 1, and not much of 4 (someone would be taking credit and have more pinpointed targets)
I am not saying anyone be let off for arson.

It's what kind to watch out for that I'm interested in.

I said there has been looting and arrests for it but its not LA Rodney King officer trail looting
