when I was growing up this is the only insect that really creeped me out, and it still does. A place I used to work at in Charlotte had quite a few of these hanging around on some evergreen bushes. some of them (females) were about 6 inches long or better. I remember watching the old sci fi movie the giant flying mantis, giant ants, giant tarantula's, and even plants, those were the days of good cheap thrill movies without all the blood and gore.

 

I wouldn’t say things are great, but they are better. Last surgery was to repair a ruptured tendon. I still have a lot of stiffness and pain but I just have to deal with it. In the past I’ve tried several medications but nothing helps.

quite a few years ago, I took Vioxx for about 4 years loved it. Took all the pain from various parts of my body, especially my hands. Since they took it off the market, I've tried other Nsaids, but nothing worked like the vioxx did. Like you, I just mostly put up with the pain and deal with it.

 

Someone got their Maxtrac spindles and Icons back on today.

those are some heavy duty looking spindles, way more solid looking than the stock toyota from the factory.

 

I see these "New" age kids these days wearing their flat bill hats, and some even still leave the tags attached. Me, I think hats need to have the brim customized with a nice curve to them. Of course most of the hats these kids are wearing today, I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them.
