Hey! I am super interested in your Side Shooter Fin Delete - I have a 17 Tacoma and am building my own Wedge Camper.
Trying to keep the wedge camper as low to the Cab as possible!

I will be forever grateful if it is at all possible to get my hands on something that works for my truck.

    ANNOUNCEMENT:

I have 13 Post Production Blemish Bullet Covers. I created a discount code for 30% off. I am sure these will go fast.

    Discount Code:
    Blem20

The blemishes include paint runs or clear coat issues. The functionality and structural integrity of the product is in no way impacted. It’s purely aesthetic.

I am researching new finish options for the Bullet Cover.

Also, 3rd gen Side Shooter Antenna cover will be available for purchase next week!

It’s been a long road to a finished product. Juggling two businesses as well as running errands for multiple households due to COVID-19 has made product development slow to a crawl.

I’ll up date the first page with more info regarding the Blemish Sale.

Nice work! You should update the thread title to remove the "2nd gen only currently" part.

For the time being until a 2020 option comes out could I just install the 2016-2019 option without the functionality? Hoping to have my Drifter by February so need to figure something out for the tall fin by then.

Like before I am willing to help with the design work on a 2020 edition if you are interested.

Installed mine today. I should heeded the recommendation to wear gloves...

Several things (which I commented on the YouTube install video):
    1) Take a flat-blade screwdriver to press into the opening slot directly above the hook and press the tab in before spinning. Otherwise these tabs break off (which keep the hangers straight and not spinning).
    2) 22mm short socket is MUCH easier than a deep socket (which is all I had).
    3) A CV joint connected to a 10" extension attached to the ratchet was easier than trying to turn the ratchet between the roof and headliner.
    4) There are two small tabs on the side of the threaded extension on the antenna that goes through the roof. Reach up and squeeze both sizes to press these in for easy removal of the antenna.
    5) The release tab on the blue plug is on the left side of the plug on the truck wiring harness side. Squeeze both sides and it's super easy to remove the plug attached to the antenna side.

I just finished reading the thread and just wanted to know if you're working on a version for the 2020 tacomas manufactured before Feb 2020. As someone posted previously, Toyota moved the antenna forward for the 2020 redesign. It ended up being in the way of the factory roof rack. They've since updated the placement around Feb 2020 and left all the early adopters without a fix. I'd grab one immediately if they're ever available.

I still haven’t gotten my hands on a 2020 to fiddle with. My local dismantler has t had any yet. As soon as I get one, I’ll see what it takes to design one for the new model.

    Your golden!

Just as a point of reference: Do you have factory Navigation or Satellite radio? Or both?
