I replaced mine with half the tread left to put on 265/70r16 toyo open country at3. The tire guy was like “let me guess, you don’t need tires, you want new tires?”

I don't know that i'm the best reviewer to go by due to running them on AR flint dirt and carving them up like a turkey in a year. Doing a little figuring with Discount tire's shopping cart shows that I would spend $166 in tax and fees for mounting/balancing/tax on $166ea tires.

Sooo..my mounted $400 new take off sets I'm buying would only cost me $234 if the fees were subtracted. I guess I can live with that for a couple years use. If I sell the wheels for $50/set I only end up out $184. That's not bad overall for a cheap bastid' :D

Looks like they got 2 rotations at 5,000mi each and one got rock cut at 12,800mi and I pulled them off. I probably need to rotate at 3,000 miles and see if I can get more life out of these.

that's what im rolling CRAIGSLIST Toyo A31 takeoffs for $150 cash just checked them have about 8/32nds left, all the P245 haters sell them just to get rid of them and put big AT tires on, im not even bothering to buy tires from Tire places no more theres a lot of P245s for sale slightly used and work fine with 2.7L Engine

Hells yea! I agree 100%. I get decent miles per gallon out of my 245s and see no reason to go up in size. On my road any open tread pattern/ATs just allows rocks into the carcass to get cut so street tread is better for longevity here. Minivan tire for me please! :D

especially for the price cant beat them, there was a seller called PRIORITY tires that sells the TOYO A31 takeoffs from Toyota dealers at one time less than $100 per tire and free shipping basically new with dimples still on, people buy new tacomas and don't like the puny p245 or the make and deal on different tires, that place scoops them all up sells them on walmart online tires and ebay

Damn. I don't have a lot of experience with Hankook. I'm a Firestone, Cooper, Nexen seller..or was. The wear should be at least 3?? I would think.

I've had 2 sets and both were trash. The first ones I ever bought were on my 94 Ranger and had no grip at all. I initially put them on the rear and slid all over the place. Moved them to the front and they would plow in turns when the light-assed rear of that truck would grip with Michelins with half the tread depth the Hankooks had.

I'm going to try to not be lazy and see how well rotating these Firestones frequently does to prolong their life.
The last set of Toyos I just took off lasted nearly twice as long as the Hankooks. They would have lasted even longer but I was lazy about rotating them.

ive noticed on my TOYOS that they are made in japan which makes me feel a lot better knowing they are made by folks who take making a quality product more serious than others who are producing cheaper made stuff from Korea or maybe China, the TOYOS seem to have that harder rubber compound like MICHELINS do im pretty happy with them as a oem type replacement at lower cost than the michelins

Rotation and two alignments a year will take a good Firestone or Cooper to 60-80 thousand or more. That lifetime alignment at Firestone is a good deal if you're hard on tires. Unlimited alignments a year, for less than two hundo. Amazing. I bought one and I worked there..lol. ($159) They'll jack the price down if you press them. Try it.
