Yes. But what I’m sheepishly asking (intention and other things get lost when typed) is: for Tacoma’s that simply have some skids and a tube bumper... when swapping a 650 spring out for a 600 spring. And everything else stays the same. How much shaft drop do they see? Or how much chassis drop do they see.

if I can get away with a 16 inch 600 or 550 spring I will.
If I have to drop to a 14 inch spring then so be it.

I can’t remember what the block height is on a 14 inch 600 and 650 spring. And I have a 5.6x travel coilover.

This coilover used to come with a 14 inch spring but king switched it this year to a 16 inch spring and they say it’s due to block height after avg preloading. I’m not trying to lift the truck. My spring under pack actually lowered the rear end an inch. So a level is only an inch.

I did not know king switched to a 16” spring. Can you upload a photo, that’s Interesting. That seems really long for a Tacoma. More of a tundra spring.

If you do have a 16” spring I would assume going to a 14” 650/600 spring would definitely help with what you describe you have on your truck but I am by no means an expert. You are also going to be able to lower the front end of the truck. I would think a 16” spring would ride like a lumber wagon. But idk. Sorry I couldn’t help more. I hope you figure it out.

Question for everyone with the 650lb springs and a winch. How many threads showing for 2,5in lift? I'm currently running 600lb springs with no winch.
    Thanks,:hattip:

Just ordered a set of fronts and eventually will do the rear. I live near the beach and was wondering what some of you guys are doing to prevent corrosion and rust. Any spray or products to help keep them looking new? Will post pics once installed.

Ive King2.5 adjuster w Camburg UCA, Deaver J66 rear leaf , 16" Method wheels, 285/75 Falken MTs tire and Timbean active bumpstops. My only complaint is that they are squeaky and noisy for being so expensive upgrades.

Gonna be installing king 2.5" remote resi's with 600 pound springs. I have Warn lo profile bumper and light winch, aluminum skids, slider and rear bumper. Trying to figure out where to set the collars on the kings to get 1.5-2" of lift. anybody have an idea on the correct setting before i install these?

Just finished with the camburg UCA and king extended travel shock with 600# springs install. Just to give a few more data points for determine ride height, here are my specs.

Extra weight is warn low profile winch bumper, smittybuilt winch with synthetic cable, aluminum skids, prinsu rack, cbi bed rack, cbi rear steel bumper with swing out, and cbi steel sliders. No clue what all that weighs but I would guess in the 500 pound range.

I set coilovers with 10 threads showing on Driver and 8.5 on passenger.

After 30 mile settling drive, Hub to fender is 23 on passenger and 22.5 on driver.
I was going for around 22.75, so I may try and back the passenger off a turn or so.

And the ride? Fucking Tits! I use this truck as my offroad rig, probably 50% dirt road mileage. For reference my ride test consisted of 45 mph drive on an extremely washboard gravel road, and intentionally hitting any deep holes or big rocks. I was a big concerned about the 600 pound springs being too light but they felt great.

Just received my rear shocks from Accutune. Man these things are massive, I can’t wait to get the rest in and get everything installed.

Shout out to @AccuTune Offroad for all the help.

So I have a 2019 OR and have been looking for used Pro suspension for a while but can’t find anything in my area. Been considering going with a set of Kings for adjustability down the road. Since I’m still on the stock OR suspension and tire size I don’t want to lift the front end more than maybe 1” or 1.5” to level it and eventually go 2.5-3” or so down the road when I get UCA’s and AAL.

out of the box will a set of Kings basically level my truck or am I just jumping down the rabbit hole with this?

Out of the box I believe they raise the front about an inch and wont need UCA's.

If you want to keep a low lift height in the front now, you will need to stick with the non-extended front coilovers. No need for an UCA. Later down the road, you can send those coilovers into someone (like us) to have the internal spacer removed to convert it to an extended travel coilover, and then get the UCA. If you get the -EXT coilovers now, you will need to run a UCA, no matter the lift height since those coilovers have more travel.

Ok so as long as I don’t go with the EXT shocks I’m good without UCA’s but I still will have the height adjustment and better ride quality and everything over stock. From the pics everything looks the same from the outside, so it’s the internals that are different for the standard, extended and long travel.

Thats correct. They are identical shocks, except one has an internal spacer limiting the travel.

Is there really no better option to secure the reservoirs than with hose clamps?

The OEM reservoir mount is designed to be used with a hose clamp. A lot of people put heat shrink on the hose clamp to make it look cleaner. Fox and King are starting to get fancier with their reservoir mounts using aluminum clamps.
