After a ~ 1 yr hiatus, I’m back in a Tacoma. I had a 3rd gen, traded it for various reasons, moved, went through a few other changes, but hey now I’m back with a 2020. I’m sure no one noticed since I 99% lurk and just read the wealth of info already posted but figured I would say howdy again.

Reading threads over the past couple weeks doing research reminded me there’s really no other community like this one. Happy to be back! :taco:

Here’s a dirty pic from dealership while I was finalizing the paperwork. No sunroof so my head fits better this time around!

There's no place quite like Tacoma World....
The silver TRD-OR is particularly sharp IMO. Enjoy!

Welcome back. I don't know if I will ever get back to a Tacoma (Tundra holding out for LC) but I will definitely be in the Toyota family. You never know tho!

All cosmetic to start and completed as soon as I got home:

    • Removed TRD OR bed stickers
    • Remove dealership decal
    • Remove V6 badge from tailgate

I’ve got a few things on order already:

    • Blackout covers for tacoma door badges
    • Katzkin leather seat covers and heaters (part of purchase at the dealership)
    • Diamondback cover
    • Diode Dynamics amber fogs
    • Interior organizers for glovebox and dash
    • Blackout vinyl for OR wheels —> not sure how this will look but figure it will let me hold off on new wheels for awhile

One of the reasons I missed the Tacoma was the awesome aftermarket support (RIP bank account). I’m currently working on a Sequoia as a family camp vehicle and the lack of an aftermarket just makes things less convenient (granted a lot of Tundra stuff should work in that case, but often needs verification).

    Congrats and welcome back, OP!

I did the same thing back in April. I had a 2019 Tundra for 6 months and just missed the Taco. The Tacoma just feels like home.

^ Not sure how that happened up there.

I had the F150 for 2.5 years. It was a great truck No problems with it, just missed the smaller size. I bought my daughter a 2020 Rav4 about 4 weeks ago and the few times I have driven it made me realize exactly how much I missed it. My wife bought a 2020 Highlander 2 Saturdays ago. I had to bring it in on Saturday to get an emblem replaced that they damaged during detailing. And there sat a brand new TRD OR just like I wanted. Just arrived that day. They are hard as hell to come by around here right now. I drove it home and had to have it and here I am back on tacomaworld.
