Bent knuckle. What to replace it with? 3rd Gen.

Went to 33's first and then 35's. Ran the 35's for about 4 months before I decided to regear.

Here she sits on dirty fives on a 3" lift. (True 3", not the 2 inch plus stock 1 inch crap)

 

They bend like butter. Mines a 2019 and already on second set. With the pre assembled wheel hubs it's all bolt on. Basic tools very easy job.

Does anyone make stronger stock length knuckles??

 

camburg makes an indestructible set for $1800. Most people just gusset them using total chaos gussets. It costs around $175 for the parts and welding.

That really doesn’t look like 3” to me. Mine has 35s and looks like it sits higher but just under 2”. But not like it matters.

 

Are you on legit 35’s or 35’s that actually measure to 33’s?

 

Down here in the south If it dont say 35x12.5 on the side wall they ain't tru Dirty fives..

These are tru 33x13.50 on 17x10

 

here is mine on 35’s. Tires measure 34.8”. Lift is 2” (3” according to ADS, but that is based on 2nd gen numbers), going any higher would result in little to no down travel left.

 

to be fair, most 35x12.50’s actually measure closer to 34”

Oh shit didn't realize this started something. I am out.

 

I believe the top spacers are what keep bending mine. Im running the billIes 6112 on max setting with a 1/4 or maybe 1/2 top plate. I believe that is what is bending them when I flex off road.

When full droop I think it is over extending the knuckles geometry and causing it to bend the knuckles to compensate for the extra down travel.

Any thoughts on this?
