Check engine light and traction light turn on, got a code P2716 and P2743. Temp sensor B Circuit. So I checked the wiring and sure enough the mouse chewed it flush to the connector leaving nothing to splice to. Maybe I can get a junkyard to sell me a section.IMG_2201.jpg

Pick up some peppermint oil and sprinkle it around. The scent irritates rodents and helps keeps them away. Had your issue on my summer car during winter storage..I feel your pain..

Where are you at? I bought a junkyard engine and they just cut most of the wiring right from the cab. It is a 4.0 engine but If I have the plug I could give it to you

I don't know. Or replace the plug if I could find out what it is.

There will be a number on the plastic connector housing. Get that number and that will help you out a bunch.

$2800 lesson. They had to remove the freaking engine to replace the harness. Toyota uses tasty soy based wire insulation.

I am 95% sure that 90980-10891 is the transmission connector for the 2TR-FE. That should be the connector for the solenoids. I see 7 wires in the solenoid connector schematic and they match up with the colors I can see in your pic. From what I see, it looks like the trans temp sensor is a separate 2 wire connector. You might look and see if the mouse chomped that too.

Going on the assumption that 90980-10891 is correct, that Amazon connector looks right. Another way to fix it would be to buy Toyota pigtails and solder them in. Again, assuming 90980-10891 is correct, the Toyota pigtails would be 82998-12440. They're about $8 each. Your local Toyota dealer should be able to get them overnight with no shipping charge.
