Hey guys im new to posting here I have been on the site lots looking and learning. You have helped me with so many things on my truck already. Now I come to you with something that has stumped me.
When I start my 96 taco up it sounds like she is choaking out, takes a good 3 or 4 turns of the key then revs like there is no tomorrow. She will rev like this for about 2 or 3 minutes then drop back down to normal. I have changed the pump, and fuel filter on it already, and I knot it is not an issue with my starter or battery. Just wondering if anybody may be or has already fixed this issue.

    Throttle body cleaning should help.
Ask at the auto parts store for more information on products and procedure

Welcome! Based on your description, it sounds like it's flooding out. Any smell of fuel in/around the engine? Does the exhaust smell especially rich? Is the CEL on?

My first guess would be the fuel pressure regulator. Do a fuel pressure test and see if that's in spec.

My CEL is on its reading P0115-ECT CIRCUIT PROBLEM. My truck has stunk like gas since doing the pump on Monday.
