I don't have the chart, but the manual transmission I drove got 315 whp. 16k miles on the stock off road tires, all stock minus sliders and cab rack.

That was interesting! But they were clearly using the VCM Scanner to do the logging. I've not even tried to read a 3rd Gen. I wonder if they've quietly started supporting them much like the early FJ Cruisers.

315 at the wheel would be enough for me, provided you don’t have to wait until 4500+ to get the meaningful gains.

If it’s proportional across the rpm range, then that’s good though it would be nice to have a larger percent increase down low. It’s all about towing for me, and gains below 3500 are important.

HP Tuners doesnt support 3rd gens. If they did harrop SC would have been out a long time ago, they were officially sponsored by HPTuners. I'm sure HPTuners will support it eventually.

Anyways I have no control over tacomabeast content, just a little annoyed seeing it.

Are they using their (HP) tuning experience applied through VFTuner interface?

The tuner was likely using it out of preference, since Hp scanner works on any car. They just videos that part.

I mean that's all fine and dandy but you can't expect the TVS1900 to make 12 psi by just slapping on a pulley and getting to 500HP all of a sudden. If you want to get there you are going to have to do a lot of supporting mods including opening up the intake and exhaust in order to get there. It's not all about PSI. It's about how well that boost flows through the engine. Just because you CAN get there doesn't mean it will be a cheap journey to do so, even after slapping on the blower.

My point was that they don't "support" the FJ Cruiser (and 5th Gen 4Runner), yet I tune them with HPTuners from time to time as support is actually available, just not advertised. My neighbor has a 3rd Gen. I'll see if the unannounced support is actually available or not.

But it's entirely possible they did use the scanner to imply which I wold agree is shitty.

So, $6,500 to get the same hp as factory/stock and worse torque?

Magnuson is using vf tuner, regardless of what Hp tuners status is.

It would make it go fast. o_O

Considerably faster. It would also let you haul around all your armor and junk that you have on the truck much easier since you have more overall power to help carry it on the road or whenever you are.

But those are stock HP numbers and worse torque...

Those are numbers at the wheel on 35's.... compared to stock at the crank. Figure a 15-20% parasitic loss in drive train.

This is why it makes more sense to measure at the hubs lol

the numbers are gonna vary quite a bit based on the various tire sizes and weights

Merely an overly simplified example of what can roughly be expected. Volume of flow is of course extremely important... really just trying to show that the supercharger will not be the bottleneck here.
