Just threw a code of P0111 which apparently is... "Intake Air Temperature Circuit Range/Performance Problem"

Anybody have any idea on easy fixes / checks for this? Engine light didn't come on. My UltraGauge picked it up.

Hmm my ultra gauge just logged this code, but I never got a CEL. Maybe I will change my air filter.

Really?! So exactly the same as me. Hmmm very interesting. I checked my air filter, and it was fine. The thing is without the UG we never would have known about this code since our CELs didn't go on, and I noticed no symptoms at all. So unless my CEL does go on, I don't think I'm going to worry about it.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
if it was just one of the "pre codes", i wouldnt worry about it too much until it popped a true CEL. i popped a pre code one day and after doing what i needed to do, which included me driving and having to go to multiple places, the code never showed again. it was a cylinder 3 misfire or something like that.

Thanks Jamie. That's what I wanted to hear. It hasn't come up again yet, so I figure no big deal. Like MountainEarth said I wouldn't have even known about it if it weren't for the ultragauge.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
It likely will not illuminate the MIL for this code. If 110, 112 or 113 show up, I would consider cleaing the MAF since that is where the IAT sensor is located. For now, I would just monitor the truck. It was more than likely a fluke.

Just got the P0111 pre code this evening on my Ultragauge. Truck works fine, hopefully, it's just a glitch as suggested by these previous posts...

Just threw the same code on my ultra gauge. I have the URD TCAI and have had lean bank conditions in the past. Anytime I have an intake issue I clean the MAF with the MAF spray cleaner and it doesn't come back. Hope that helps others. I will clean it again and see if the UG says anything
