Anyone in the area available to give me a hand for a half hour?

I can do it alone, but it takes a whole lot of up's and downs and crawling. My old knees, back and neck don't appreciate the action required. Anytime will work.

I've got my own little mini-mod-day up here:

 

I’ve always got mine balanced on my floor jack and then slowly Jack it up and get it in place. To me it’s easier than someone helping.

 

For the t case skid, that's exactly what I do. But it's a royal pain for me, alone. I didn't do the exhaust reroute to it's a bitch to jiggle the skid just right to get around the exhaust crossover pipe. I can do it, and have a few times, but I'm a bit of a physical mess the last couple weeks.

 

Nice. I go right to the local auto stereo guys for that kind of work. For things that I want to come out pretty, and done well, I let the pros do it.

 

It's not all audio bits, but I've been doing car audio for over 2 decades. These fancy new install kits and computers make thins pretty easy now. I just programmed the control unit.

 

You will want to do two things. Update the software on the Maestro and make a decision on grounding the head unit. Normally, it's supposed to go through the Maestro. However, my Kenwood would spontaneously reboot. After several attempts to resolve it, there was a suggestion made to move the ground through Maestro to anything else. So far, so good.

 

I've done a few of these already.

Never had reboot issues though.

I'm on my second Kenwood head unit, DNX997XR. 996 before that. Both of them would randomly reboot. The 996 did it on the bench.

Easy? CAN bus systems make car audio way harder IMO. My 97 4Runner(no CAN bus) took me 5 hours to install a new head unit, 2 amps, 4 door speakers, 2 tweeters and a sub. It all worked perfect first try. My 2003 Jetta took me an hour to install the new head unit then another day to troubleshoot the damn CAN bus system. I ended up just getting the fancy CAN bus adapter to make it work. lol

 

Drove through some fire areas and learned its making a push North. Jumped a two dozer and a hand crew few hours ago per scanner. Looks like the two information boards we visited are now closed due to fire danger. That would be concow and the rock house at jarbo gap.

 

Ugh. Kittle taking a nasty hit to the knee... Not good. Let's hope it's just a hyper extend and no damages
