I’m pretty sure the butt end of the truck is the departure angle and break over is center.

they are long, but the rear end will keep you from abruptly steep inclines.

Exactly, departure is a non issue, get a tube bumper and drag away, 99% of the time breakover angle is the showstopper on the trail.

That's exactly why I'm putting 37s on my truck. Especially in a DCLB. I've never been stuck due to departure angle, but I get stuck frequently due to breakover.

I’m ready for a new system. But why a press release without pricing. That’s just stupid..

A lil this a lil that.
I understand their logic. With COVID still effecting everything it’s hard to identify a solid price for all of the materials needed to make the RCLT.

I’m sure a lot of the people who initially shown interest have had their worlds turned upside down with loss of jobs etc. another concern they’ll need to address before coming up with pricing.

    Supposedly pricing is set.
    6999 for the kit
    700 for the rack
2000 for RCV, or 300 for just extensions
    Plus coilovers of your choice.

Ya wow. So there going to get everyone excited and then tell everybody how far they intend to stick it in. My TC 2+race kit 4,000 , Solo Rack 2,000 w/tie rods ,CVs 700 , king coils 2,400 Bypass 2,400So that’s 11.5k spent.
Now I’m going to blow 8,000 on MC Kit probably gonna need coilover shocks 2400+ bypass shock 2400and RCV 2,000 axles ( good thing I just installed them this weekend) Just to get better system than what I have now pop $15,000 plus labor. Then I’ll need to go get my wife a new Burberry purse a Chanel purse with matching wallet something expensive at Tiffany’s this mod will set me back 30,000. Thank god I own a food manufacturer corporation and the covid has increased my sales by 50%. I don’t know how many cats here are ready to plop down 15k?

Honestly, if guys would just take their desired tire sIze while still on STOCK suspension and cut any much as needed to fully clear it before upgrading suspension, we wouldn’t see folks gimping up travel.

I cut quite a hit to fit 285s on stock suspension and when I add my 275/80/17s (34.5x11) )here shortly - I’ll be cutting even more and probably moving some things around.

I know that’s a little unreasonable for guys already on expensive suspension before they cut much, but Just a thought considering we all know a lift only clears bigger tires at static ride height.

plus it’ll give someone time to really think about suspension setups, shock relocations, etc - another reason I’m doing it.

The thing people don’t seem to be aware of is that it’s not just bump and turn the wheels with your stock suspension. You will have to cut significantly more with a long travel kit with more up travel as was said about the JD kit.

Limiting up travel would make those fancy lowers pointless because the whole point is to clear things and now you’d have the frame going up and over the wheel instead of the wheel going up and over the rock. I get the kit is perfect for what some guys see themselves using their trucks for in theory but without realizing how truck mods at this level work, it’s easy to misinterpret the way you’ll have to modify things to use what travel the kit offers.

I totally agree with you!! I just meant from a general standpoint it might be wise to start hacking away early on like I have so it’s not such a surprise when you have to go even deeper down the rabbit hole
