Boy I'd hope not lol. We're pretty much surrounded by creeks and ponds so to run out would mean very very bad times.

 

you forgot to give an option for "Both" in the poll. It depends on what part of the country your in. Down here in the Deep South I've always heard it called "Supper", but when I was growing up in Texas, my Mom always hollered "Dinner's Ready", and the stampede began.

My advice is start preparing now. I have two daughters, and when the oldest started wanting to wear makeup at 12, was when the wars stared in my home. My now ex-wife used to say, "We're not going to dress out girls" like everyone else does. Some of the teens back then looked like "Dress up" hookers. Used to really blow my mind. Then the youngest hit her teen years, she was much more manageable. Good luck in your endeavors.

Depends on what mood I'm in, I actually use both terms. dinner, supper, it's time to eat. I've known a bunch of southerners that use the term dinner for lunch, and supper for the evening meal. I wonder what the yankees call it.

 

Not 5 extra, just 5. Unless you're considering our intake into the house to also be a hydrant.

One in the side yard, one in the shop (that one is weird), one next to the shop and two out in the pasture. Certainly will help when I build out the garden and apparently its good to have this style because there is less chance of it freezing and breaking during the winter.
