Now we just need to find that darn table that tells it what gear to go into when shifting to 'S'. It's usually 4th, but occasionally 5th if you're really motoring along.

I wonder if it would make sense to simply customize those lower limits to keep it from bogging down too much in higher gears? Say 1400 in 6th, 1300 in 5th, 1200 in 4th 1000 in 3rd, 800 in 2nd, and 600 in 1st? Something like that for example.

Any adjustments needed to the Torque Converter tables?

Does ovtune let you disable the door chimes so I can leave my door open and listen to the radio in the driveway without the freaking dinging? I searched the thread but didn't see anything specific to open doors, just seat belts. I want the dash indicator to still show the door is a jar if I drive off though...

I don't think its required to make adjustments to TC tables if you adjust shift points, just that you want to from a performance point of view. I am pretty sure the ECU is smart enough to unlock for a shift regardless. But if you start raising shift points above the TC lock/unlock points, you can end up with maps telling the TC clutch to lock up when it is not ideal, unnecessarily reducing torque sent to the wheels.

I did not adjust the TC tables so it still unlocks/locks as normal. File that am using should be linked here. IF anyone decides to use this tune its OVTunes Premium octane mapping and I've made adjustments to throttle sensitivity, throttle limits, some shift point changes, ACIS, and the crown jewel Gearlock with ECT.

As far as limiting the gears above a certain RPM to me it seems completely do-able you just need to modify the minimum values on upshift tables but you'll need to know at what speed. Say you want to limit 6th to above 1500 RPM, thats roughly 60 MPH so that would be your minimum value at zero accelerator angle in the table. The thing I haven't figured out yet is if the speeds in the shift tables are truly in kph or not. For example, the table for the ECT 4 to 5 shift is showing that it shouldn't upshift until 59 kph (36ish mph) at least but in the real world its actually 52 mph for me. Maybe the tire ratio table has something to do with that?

I think I came close to figuring it out! It is in MPH but the speeds are multiplied by a percentage to get the actual shift point, probably based on what ever tire diameter you input.

I put in a 32.5" diameter and my shift speeds are all about 13% lower than what VFtuner is showing. IE the 4 to 5 upshift is 58.86 in VFTuner. If you multiply that by .87 gets to be around 51.2 MPH as my shift point. Which it just about is and same with all the other shift point formulas for ECT it seems. Did a test and set one up-shift speed and one down-shift speed for all the ECT shift tables so that regardless of pedal input it would shift at only one speed per gear so I can compare the real world speed to the table speed and I repeatedly got the same numbers.

I noticed a while back that the "drive train control - gear size" values are about that percentage lower than what they should be, ie 4th gear is at 0.83:1 instead of 1:1. 1st through 6th are all that way... about 20% lower than they should be, actually. Maybe it could be these settings vs the tire size?
I've been too nervous to change them, but I'm going to test a file with those values changed to what they should be and see what happens. I've got everything else pretty dialed in for my preferences. Maybe that will push those shift points up? I've already bumped them all up about 25%, but I also notice the real life shift points are still lower than what I set them at.

ya, don't try that. It had the opposite effect I was looking for. Shift points all went down. I got a few miles out and flashed back to where I was before that change.
