I’m starting to take the trans apart and do a gear change for third.
    This was last year..

I check every nut and bolt on this car.
    Lots of people do nothing.
    Sometimes it has bad results.

Good morning, all!! 1st coffee of the day is done and ready for a reload! Lynn and I went for a ride in the Z3 yesterday afternoon. We went to participate in a drive by celebration of friends' parent's 70th wedding anniversary and then spent some time cruising the backroads on our way home. I fall back in love with this car every time I get behind the wheel. 24 years old now and still running strong.

Nice Ride I always liked those cars, but a little to pricey for my budget. If I ever win the Lottery(hahahahahahahahaha), I'm going to buy one of the new 7 series top of the line 4 door sedans for my highway cruising machine, or maybe a BMW X5, yeah I know I'm dreaming, but I've always said if your going to dream, "DREAM BIG".

Back in '96, it cost $26,750 delivered to the BMW agency outside the base in Wuerzburg, Germany - about the same price as a new Miata back then.

Not a bad price. I'd take the BMW over the Mazda any day of the week. Thank you for your service in the armed forces. I've had several friends over the years that were stationed in Germany and really liked it there. Everyone was buying their stereo equipment at the base PX and shipping it home. I saw some really nice stereo setups back in the mid 70's, that would cost an arm and a leg here in the states. Of course back then the really nice reel to reel was the way to go, for hours of un-interrupted music.

Smart Man, not looking forward to this job, but it needs the new shocks installed. I've already done the rears. just hoping these 4600's don't beat me to death.

I have not followed racing for quite some time. The suspension set up is more intricate than I would have thought it to be. TY for sharing the picture.

You have maintained the vehicle well. Most Veterans have a tendency to keep up everything they own. Looks like a fun ride.

Going to paint the rear atrium door this week. Not as much as your project but needs to be done before fall sets in.

    You too Ken.

Today on the grill, cut a rack of ribs in half. One half spicy, for me, and the other half mild, for the wife and son. Also going to do come chicken thighs.20200914_151343.jpg

I changed out the original shocks on mine around 80000 miles with the 4600’s. They are the same as 5100’s , the only difference is 5100’s are designed for lifted trucks. Big improvement on and off road. They did stiffen up the ride. My wife says the truck rides like a buckboard. I like them. It’s a 4x4 truck, ain’t suppose to ride like a Cadillac.

In the 80’s the MetLife blimp was touring the US. I was a VP for MetLife and some management at the various stops got the opportunity to take a ride on it. I was one of the fortunate ones. It was slow and kind of loud, nothing like an airplane. A fun experience that few get to experience. A good memory

54 deg here this morning. Going to saw up some scrap wood and burn it in the fire pit this morning.

This Blue Heron found our pond yesterday and is back today. My neighbor across the street took the photo. IMG_08951.jpg

Good morning all, Still dealing with the Golden/Sharpi. Swelling has started to go down, he is on steroids for the next four days. Poor guy, his baby sister wants to play so bad but he just does not want anything to do but sleep.

Back to outside work - have a great day everyone - be safe.
