Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Our son (8) was riding his mower yesterday that my dad gave him several years ago (1963 John Deere 110) and he stopped to checked the oil. He came and got me and told me it needed some. I forgot when it quits smoking it needs some.

We came out of the shop to find his sister (4) here.

 

Lol, if it aint leaking, it's empty. I've seen a few aircraft that follow that same logic.

Worked on the storm door while the wife is in the store in between hunts. Had some good help.

From the last 2 sets of pics, I can tell she has strong supervisor skills!

we got some work in on the kart restoration today. (I think he can’t find his 10mm )

 

For those that don’t know, @McRib and I bet on the chefs football game the other night, I said they would win by at least 19, they won by 14, and if I lost I had to get my nails did. My 4 year old daughter did them this morning.

Almost threw a rack of ribs on too, but figured since I was planning on working in the shop all day today I wanted something low maintenance to smoke.
Oil changes all around today, with some tire rotations and filter cleanings. Then going to try to get some mor work in with the boy on his project.

 

We both know he meant SUPPER but autocorrect got him

 

Went and shot a few rifles yesterday and a friend of mine who helps me drag deer if I need him to wanted to shoot his 30-30, luckily he hit the pole so we could adjust his scope. He’s got a fixed 4x40 scope, I couldn’t even see the target at 100 yards with it. We got him close.

 

Our son with the .22 and our daughter wondering why the binocular strap is so long and also working the range finder.

 

That's why decking machines and engine machinists are a different breed and things are built specifically for that industry.
