Somebody posted, but can't find the post again.
What's the difference between Primary Shifting 1-8, Acceleration shifting all of which have Upshift and Downshift, and the Upshift Schedule?

I have also been puzzling over why the gear sizes are off. The differential gear sizes are also off, did you take that into account? Either way, my shifts seem to be just about right where I enter them.

This is the best I know. Not sure if anything further is known yet.

Thanks, I think you posted that before, I just didn't remember. I'm gonna try transferring those settings to the premium file.

I really want to know when each table is being used as well. So far the only one that remotely makes sense to me is the shift table 3 might be for 4 low since all of the shift points are very low and it locks out the overdrive gears from being used. I’m gonna try and do some testing on these maps to see when each one is used.

From what i have tested, the acceleration shifting stops the truck from shifting into 5th/6th during acceleration. See how 4 to 5 and 5 to 6 are high values? it's to block the truck from allowing an upshift.

The final tune I did is the best. Click the link on my signature. It explains what I did to the file on the post that I shared it.

Please let me know if you like it. I've got a gear lock version that I haven't tried or shared yet, as well. Courtesy of @ForceOfG

Thanks again @Mooseditty17 - I have not tried your latest changes to my file but will be for Tues. I like how it's rounded some things out and I am interested to see the final updates on the ACIS play out on my truck. Leveraging what you've learned and what lands in the final AT Tow/Perf patch should be a great combo for daily and fun.

Please share what you learn. I hadnt thought about specific shift maps for 4lo and 4hi. Would be nice not to have to update all 7 maps for highway driving.

If im reading the upshift tables correctly on the #3 shift map, basically at any speed regardless of pedal input it will upshift to 2, and then upshift from 2 to 3 anywhere from around 7+ mph, and 3 to 4 from around 15+ mph. That seems insanely low for any 2wd/4wd driving. It's been a while since I used 4low but it seems to feel like how the shifting actual works?

What I plan on doing is modifying one map at a time locking out upshifts to 3rd or 4th gear and doing some neighborhood cruising. Hopefully I discover that only 1 or 2 maps are used... Will report back!:bikewheelie:

I just checked my shift maps #3. Identical to map #1. 04A61 stock file.

Here are what my first two upshift tables look like. Do you have any that match this?

my diff gear size is 3.90, so it's right for me. It is just the trans gears that seemed too low (numerically).

there's a couple weird things that don't make sense. Hot idle park and drive on mine are labeled backwards. A couple downshift points seemed backwards like 2-3 was higher than 3-4 on one table. I'm pretty happy with my tweaks for right now. Gonna let them settle for a while and hope for a performance map to play with or ECT map switch to tow mode function

you likely need to update vF Tuner. this was fixed a while ago

For anyone that may have a map error / something doesn't look right, make sure you're on the latest version (download button on our website front page)

    That was it.

It would be helpful if the current version were published and kept current somewhere on your site. That way if someone misses the instruction to update, it's quick and simple to verify they are on the current version before going thru the uninstall / install process.

Do we have to uninstall the older version to be able to install the latest version or will the latest version install over the older version?
