Hey John, I wanted to comment on this and got side tracked.

So, couple questions. What did you use to attach the tire to the swing up receiver draw bar? If you wanted to, could you move it closer to the truck? Did you relocate your license plate? Does the setup have any play where if it were closer to the truck and you were bouncing around off road it could hit the back?

I forgot I have one of those swing up receivers so I want to make one of these too.

    What I have:

Cool, but what did you use to attach the tire/wheel to this swing up receiver? Did you just buy 2" square tube and make your own?

I would think at the very least it's something like this but just the vertical bar and mounting plate, not that horizontal tube.

Did the viper cut yesterday on my buddys truck. It was a little intimidating at first to cut up his perfectly good bumper but i think it completely changes the look of the front end in a good way. Will try and get him to post pics up of it or ill just do it myself after work today.

What did you end up doing to the inner fender liner after cutting the bumper?

I was trying to hold off but couldn’t. I’m surprised no one else did that before me.

Were the leafs necessary or could you get away with just the shock upgrades? I dont know anything about lifts but yours looks practical. I think thats what I want most, a practical lift that will actually function and not just for looks.
