That sounds like a well-planned system! I'm jealous!

I'm going to get chains for the Pickup. I think that will help a lot?

There are a few of those up here... I kinda really want one! They're pretty intimidating to drive past on the road lol

I would definitely paint a swan's head on the chute if I had one.

I don’t drink anymore but I deff was a bud heavy guy if not doing high percentage beers.

this is really what it is, and I think half the popularity of twisted type drinks. You don’t smell if you get pulled over.

there’s a few guys around town I see driving by my house daily, head cocked back guzzling...

Oh well, things tend to work themselves out eventually one way or another.

I don't really drink anymore. There's a non-alcoholic beer that's actually very good, Athletic Brewing, that I have when I want one. If I do have alcohol it's a bourbon, but that's become very rare over the last year.

I would have waited, but the driveway guy is fitting me in between other jobs at some unspecified time 'before the end of the season', and has already tentatively scheduled and then had to cancel a couple of times. I'd rather put him off until next spring if necessary than to be stacking wood in 30 degree weather.

    Covered porch...
I don't have anything yet, but the wife and I were discussing making some canvas curtains for the outside of the porch to provide some more weather protection in the winter and making them removable so they could be swapped with a lighter linen set for shade in the summer.

Here's the first cord (roughly) already stacked.

Nice. My big worry is that I need to put build a shed out back . Got some big pines. I found a nice flat-ish area that I feel would be good and that the deadwood won’t really bother it unless major winds blow them onto it .
Gonna cost a lot for tree removal and shed . While I’m at it I figure on a wood/ storage shed attached for splitter and power equipment. I think I can add the latter onto this after. Got all my wood on pallets and covered for now Pics later

Wholly hell, your porch structurally sound enough to take all that weight?

    Morning all.
Got the Flowmaster installed Friday night after work. I like it; not annoyingly loud but with a good sound when you get onto the throttle. A little bit of drone on the highway at 72, but it mostly goes away once you get over 75.

Eh. Chains are handy for traction when you're plowing on ice, but don't make a big difference the rest of the time.

That's a lot of weight; make sure you don't overload it.

Worst case scenario, if the porch collapses, just chop it up and use it as firewood!

My entire yard is a low spot on our road. We typically end up with a 30'x60' skating rink, cleverly disguised as a driveway. Early 2019, Marj's Camry blasted through the ice and got beached on the frame for 3 weeks while we waited for it to melt enough to remove the car... I need all the traction I can get! :burnrubber:

Not my circus, not my monkeys. But you may want to consider sistering up the joists in that area and adding spreaders to keep them from rolling and help distribute the weight if it's something you plan to do year after year.
