I see a wheel bearing separated from its housing. Unusual failure. Wonder how that happened. Axle nut backed off? CV stub shaft broke?

Believe he broke a cv, removed it and didn’t have anything holding the bearing together (what I almost did in ardbeg....) so the bearing separated while driving.

I am now carrying 2 hub portions of our cvs for a “unlocked hub” deal to get home. Also have the diff side too, to plug it. More prepared this time around.

I checked out the photo album and it doesn't look like like it. It's a 2017, has a dented in front left quarter panel and what looks to be a 2nd gen skid plate underneath. I though someone here should know something :)

TRD skid-plate, Cali raised trail edition rock sliders, Diamondback HD cover, Cali raised bed stiffeners, 265/75/R16 BF KO2’s, extended rear diff breather mod, demon shackle mounts, factor 55 hitch receiver/recovery point,
    So this happened lol :anonymous:
Least I got the chance to test out my recovery boards, rear locker & buddies winch(they all work), only took about 2 hours to get it out, turns out the mud was a bit thicker/deeper than I thought
    :crapstorm:
More photos from Superior on the way!

So I did make it all the way through greens half of it in 4low/2wd wheel drive With rear diff lock on as I broke cv shaft stub and had nothing to hold bearing together Lots of winching. Bearing went after we finished the trail on green mountain road. At work rn now will post photos, drone footage and videos later on. Trail was a lot of fun though but probably a 1 time trail for me
