Wow, you've really dug deep! Yeah, what you're doing is what I don't want to do.. LOL! If my truck were a few years old, it probably wouldn't be that big of a deal to me... But having a brand new truck... Man, there's just no way I'm gonna start tearing it all apart..
(Aside from having the wife screaming 'WTF ARE YOU DOING??!!' LOL!
Just out of curiosity, does the factory stereo have sub outputs on it? Like just about every aftermarket stereo does now?

Just as an aside... I spent some time putting on some new Rough Country seat covers on my new truck yesterday. (That was a whole `nother battle story in itself..) ... Only got the passenger side on, have yet to tackle the drivers side.. (This is one of those times where I wished I had little-tiny monkey hands .. LOL!)
But it seems to me, so far as putting a sub under the seat .. WHERE is the room? Maybe the passenger side is worse, but man, talk about just NO room anywhere ... Metal bars and a whole bunch of wiring harness going every which way.. I could barely reach around this/that/the other and especially trying to find something to clip the little hooks for the elastic bands on and not disturbing the wiring harness(s) buried under the seats.
There's obviously a way it can be done, but I sure wouldn't want to have to be the guy who does it for a living

The passenger side has a extra bar the drivers side doesnt have. I tried putting some amps under the passenger seat and it wouldnt fit. The drivers side is open and clear though.

The bar on the passenger can be rotated around to give space, but it requires removing the seat and taking a good bit of it apart.

Ahh, gotcha. Thanks. Makes me feel a bit better.. After putting the seat cover on the passenger side and wondering how anything else could fit underneath, I just 'assumed' the driver side would be worse. (The old saying about 'assume' right? LOL!)
So I'll guess if I show up at the stereo shop, wanting them to install a sub under the driver side, the tech there isn't gonna chase me out of the parking lot.. Maybe .. LOL!
