That comp you posted is very light on the novice and open. Make it to Nationals and you'll see why not everyone gets a pro card lmao I might be able to hit 320lbs on log for 1-2 reps but there are guys in HW that will be hitting 8-10reps easy then pulling 800+ deadlifts on the max event.... It's only top three for each weight class, minus LW, that get a pro card. When there are 60+ guys in each class it gets pretty challenging to compete.
