Anybody rocking the new Supertop 2? I had a Softopper in the past and am sort of missing it's functionality... Especially for hauling the dogs. I love how the new Bestop uses the channel slides instead of Snaps & ropes and the 3rd brake light is pretty cool. Seems to me the only option that I can't get with the Bestop is the "doggy flap" for the rear window which kind of sucks. Also not sure if they sell mesh front/rear windows.

Sure looks better than the first iteration.

Just watched the video of fold up. What a hassle. I was considering it but I think I will just get a regular top and get a hoist system set up for when I need it off. I bet it would take the same amount of time.

I think the softopper brand is much easier to fold down.

Looks better than it used to and the 3rd brake light is a good idea, but to mirror everyone else's comments Softopper still seems more functional.

I wanted to buy the super topper 2. I found out that there’s no access inside to the zippers so it makes it difficult to sleep inside and Open or close the back window. According to the soft top people their zippers are double-sided zippers so access inside and out.

I had a tough time deciding between a Softopper or the Bestop super truck 2. I went with the Softopper and it should be delivered tomorrow. Wishing it came with that 3rd brake light though

Don't need a third brake light here in Alabama. Anyone that's interested, can have the one that came with my kit if you'll pay for shipping.

A limb fell on my version 1 Bestop last night, destroying it. Wondering the improved version 2 frame fits the version 1 canvas? Giving them a call in the AM.

I dont think the new frames fit the old tops. They removed the random hump in the middle that the first version had.

little bit of here and a little bit of that...
The only thing I don’t like about soft top, is the aluminum/chrome color of the bars

It’s really easy to hang them up and paint them. Softopper is by far superior quality and durability.

I can fold my softtopper down in about 30 seconds.

Thanks for the comment. I actually called Bestop and they said it does fit a 2nd gen. Only the 2015 model though.

The model I was specifically looking at is SKU# 77308. If you click on the instructions in the upper left corner it says assembly for 2015 through current tacomas.
