What's the point of adding more to your debt? You already bought it back once. Like itchy feet stated there's more than just a monthly payment. It might be same payment with higher interest for a longer term.

They are now down to 109 3rd Gen's under 50,000 miles (double cabs).
did they sell 147 tacomas in the last week or so?

Carvana offered me 34,600 for my 19 TRD OR with 14k miles. Decided to check Carmax and they offered 36k which is more than I paid for the truck. Took CarMax's offer.

So one restriction Carvana has of course is that they can't sell "New" since they aren't an authorized dealership, but I wonder what they would offer someone who just bought a new Tacoma who just drove it home?

Perhaps they would pay more than what you had purchased it for just to get "very close to brand new" on their "lot". (Less than 300 miles).
A individual could maybe make some money just buying new cars for Carvana for them to sell as "just like new" provided you lived in a low tax state.

Excluding tax you still have doc fees ($500), title/reg ($150) and destination charge ($1000). But it would be interesting to see if anyone could make money, maybe with what carvana is paying. Once the 2021 vehicles start hitting the dealers, I'll be prices start coming down.

Sold my 2019 Sport for $38,500 yesterday, was super easy and painless. They offered more then I paid for it. Going to put a down payment on a 2021 as soon as the loan gets paid off.

33,961 from carvana as of yesterday... still keeping the idea floating around in my brain. Just put in a KBB cash offer gave me just as much. Two dealers just called and are preparing offers. Gah! I dont want to sell, but also don't drive it so...

Have an appointment tomorrow morning for them to come get my 2019 TRDOR. 18,500 miles. They are giving me 500 more than what I paid including taxes and fees. Trading in here sucks cause the trade in value over 4k doesn't reduce sales tax.

One dealer will give me $34,500-35k sight unseen. (2018, 14k miles). That's still less than carvana's highest offer a few weeks ago ($35,881) but not bad. The wife thinks I'm being silly, but if I sold I'd get all my equity back in cash, lose the monthly payment for the next 2ish years, and since I dont really need another vehicle right now I could stand to just wait it out for a cheaper sh*tbox beater truck to tool around later this year or next. I'm not driving it as much as I'd like anyway but it is fun on those 1.5 mile trips to wallyworld lol (basically it has been sitting in the garage since fall '18 when I started working from home). I know this thread has seen a lot of people sell, some didnt. I am having a hard time being on this fence.

Checked Carvana out of curiosity. $27k for my 2018 SR5 w 40k miles. I paid an even 30k. Pretty good offer. Could take that cash and get a new one and own it free and clear for just $3k more.

Yea, I got a great Carvana offer on my 2019, then quickly started searching for a replacement Tacoma

here in central Virginia there is a serious Tacoma shortage and ...... all that’s available are “high-dollar” models which would require much out of pocket money:angrygirl:

And.......... don’t forget that Damn punishment sales tax:mad::mad::spending:

I sold my 2019 Sport with 10k miles stock no upgrades and paying an extra just shy of $3500 for a 2021 mgm with Tech, tonneau cover, blackout package, and added the led headlights. Majority of that is taxes, but I am willing to spend it for all the upgrades that I am getting along with carplay. Luckily the new one comes with remote start from Toyota so I guess I will eventually sell my N2 remote start. Little gains from there also. Some might not think its worth, but I am very happy with it.

Paid 24k for a f150 about 8 months ago. Did some simple mods made it look nice for a couple grand. Traded it in for 33k for my tacoma. Overall I'm really happy. Got all the features I've been wanting in a truck in my Limited with 26k miles. They threw in a lifetime bumper to bumper and powertrain. Couldn't be happier! Really good trade market for used vehicles due to the auctions being closed.
