I recognize that spot

 

Whats everyone's thoughts on weather hoods? Does anyone run one in the fall / winter seasons? Pros or cons?

 

Its a wonderful spot haha

 

Don't have a weather hood, but my explorer series kukeman took a few inches of snow before we decided to head down the mountain. We didn't realize it was snowing until 30 min later, it was just cold. Not sure if the weather hood or insulator would be a better buy

 

Yup. Snow doesnt bother at all. Guess I was mostly thinking about the shoulder months where you can get wet snow / sleet / rain mix types of stuff thats just no fun at all.. (or the occasional summer downpour)

But Ive managed almost 3 years without one, so not sure if its worth it haha

 

Finally got mine opened up and tested. Just in my backyard but I did sleep in it two nights.

 

then thats 2 nights of "camping"

 

K, I was trying to make him feel better about just sleeping in his back yard in a tent off the ground.

oh no i was agreeing that you have a point, its considered camping

 

This dam internet understanding stuff, gets me every dam time. All good.

The first night I decided to sleep in the tent I told my wife "You'll be sleeping alone tonight unless you care to join me."

She declined.

The following morning she asks "Well, how was it?" to which I replied "Great! It was one of the best night's of sleep I've had in a long time."

She said "Me too!"

FML.

 

So you atleast have a nice dog house, have you run cable yet?

 

Recently took my dog on a little overnight camping trip. Absolutely loving my Freespirit RTT.

 

I have my WiFi. That's all I care about.

The more I setup and take down my soft shell, the more I want to get a hard shell tent.

 

My automatic opening one is pretty cool. I decided to keep it for now..
