Then it's a good thing i already planned on vinyl wrapping my truck when I'm done fixing it

But thank you for the heads up, the missus has a much nice vehicle than mine and would be very upset over that. Looks like I'll be washing her car

$1500 estimate to repair the bed where my brother hit me. Well over the deductible.

They replaced upstream and downstream o2 sensors and still cant get the code to clear lol. Missfires gone tho fron what they said. Temp sensor shit out so the truck wasnt actually overheating. Will have a new one in it tn.

.might need an ecu reflash now or........

Any known issues with being unable to clear the o2 sensor codes?

    Didn't he hit you?

    Have him use his insurance.

No use going through your own and having to pay a deductible, not to mention having a claim made by you.

People may not realize it but even if your rates don't go up for any claims you've made (with your current insurance), it gets reported and any/every agency can see what kind of risk you are. Better yet, what all has been paid out because of you.

Did they actually test those things on the bench? I bet they're not broken, especially if it just happened after the head work.

I'm a little suspicious that they didn't reconnect a ground, particuarly ground EF on the Ignition Coil Bracket. See the manual I attached, page 1 and 4.

Yeah I'm not going to be make a claim on mine. I was more just proving that the estimate was going to be well over $500. $1200 was my guess yesterday. It's a rough situation since my parents are getting on my back about how I'm being heartless about a small dent. To be fair I've put countless hours of free labor into his Tundra and had been working on it for 3 hours right before he backed into me. It's not for them to decide.

Yes, downstream o2 had no volts. They fixed it, then upstream threw code so they replaced both. Have tested both in place and they are functioning correctly currently.

I would gladly be a heartless person over a "small dent" (which yours is not, imo)

Small dent to me is a door ding.

Just it being your cat itself.. P0420 for the win! But what's the code number they are getting?

I'm kinda with 0x on this one, it really sounds like they didn't get all the grounds hooked back up, or broke a wire reconnecting them

I like how they talk about all these cool features but don't mention a range. I'd hate to have a rig like that run outta battery on a trail. Crab mode won't save you from that

@BartMaster1234 or maybe @Tour991 you might know

Do post 2000 tacoma seatbelts bolt into the pre 2000? I just bought a replacement seatbelt and it's got an extra electrical connector im assuming is a pretensioner that my current belts don't have. Plus it's locked and won't spool out... is that a condition od the pretensioner as well or do I need to bolt it in place to make it work?

ive got to ask when i get there, but code was for downstream first, then went to upstream after changing downstream, and they replaced both. said it it no longer missfiring but the code came back saying the same. Tested both hooked up and theyre running properly from what they said
