Will our prior made tunes have to be redone from scratch with this update, or can we open them with updated VF, and carry on where we left off?

So far the numbers haven’t made sense. The tire size is half the total tire height from what I could guess but .80 made no sense for diff size. Updated VF and now it reads the almost correct gear size for 4.88 (4.80) but gear ratios, although they have changed with the VF update are still off. If they are suppose to be accurate to real world numbers then 5th gear is set up to 6th gear ratios. If there’s a separate number that need to be factored in then that’s fine but we should be given that secret code not have to guess things.
That’s been the problem so far.... I don’t know and I have absolutely nothing to reference to find the answers. It’s a matter of change values and test and in regards to this particular issue (gear size and stuff) it’s not a problem but when it starts to get into fuel, spark control and other critical parameters I think guessing and testing could be really dangerous.
I know this sounds like ungrateful bitching and it is a bit of complaining but I do realize that this is a great and powerful tool we have in our hands and maybe just a little guidance would go a LONG way to productivity at this point. It feels like OV just threw a hand grenade into the monkey exhibit at this point
And no, I’m not angry or anything. I totally respect and appreciate what OV has done.

Wondering the same thing. If it's just a glitch in the software, or are the actual tunes going off those numbers.

you can just open it and continue where you left off.

There is a internal rounding error in vFT on the hundredth decimal place in VFT on certain tables. I am working on that right now.

most maps are what they should be, fuel, spark, vvt, etc.

Everything will be sorted very soon, with accurate representations.

Also when you click the info button on the tables it will include information about the table. You'll see, that is all being updated. So you can click a button and explains exactly what the map does

    Hahahaha! In Before The Lock.

:locked: is a good one to post in a Friday thread just before the mods nuke it. It is usually 100% happiness until that happens.

So I went out and ran some tests to learn a bit more about how each shift map is used. I ran through 2wd/4wd/S-mode only/used the different traction button settings and without a doubt the only tables that changed anything for me were the first primary shift tables. The others did absolutely nothing on my neighborhood strolls and their was a clear indicator the the first table had changed shift points (I could not shift above 2nd gear).

Haven't tried the acceleration shift tables and I have not tried 4lo yet but I feel one map may be dedicated to that...
