Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I have a Tacoma and am willing to stick with it - The Gladiator has a 3.0 Turbo Diesel and as much as I dislike their products if I had to do over I would certainly give it a test drive. They have impressive power and towing - far beyond the Tacoma. Now the Mothership needs to step to the plate and give us the same. The new Tundra will have a V6 Turbo or stock V6 and no mention of a V8. A Tundra V6 w/o boost will be a bigger turn than the V6 Tacoma.

I dunno about that, during the test drive I had NO problems with the acceleration in the ED vs my Tacoma. Only major weight on my Tacoma is the Habitat at 340lb. Thing was super peppy and smooth. I'm still on 1.05 though, so I'm finally gonna install 2.0 give it a shot. Still waiting for GL though.............

 

Actually just remembered the newer ecodiesels ones got a power boost and have the same acceleration as the taco, high 7's. Diesels have an extremely smooth powerband so they do feel a lot smoother.

2.0 feels great, just waiting on 2.0 performance to see if I gonna keep this or eventually move on to the last of the V8 Toyota, a 2021 Tundra

Honestly they don't look THAT bad with a lift and 35's etc. But stock they're horrible.

 

could say the same with any 4 door truck with a short bed. the proportions are just off

 

Stock tacomas look great imo.

 

The Rubicon looks good stock. My coworker has one. The lower trims get thinner tires though, or at least less aggressive, looks weird.

Saw one the other day though with 35s and a bed rack with a RTT, looked super good actually.

 

Yeah when they're all churched up, they don't look too bad. Whatever their SR5 equivalent is, just looks sad haha.

cruise control minimum speed 1
cruise control minimum speed 2
and more.

this should completely fix any 4.88 and 5.29 limitations.
